Temis, I found Panzer IV Ds in the Mittlere Panzer Platoon of the Mittlere Panzerkompanie. I'll use my late war IV J for these (the Schürzen and extra long barrel will be purely cosmetic). It looks like I will need at least 3 Panzer IICs though since these are a required platoon. I have some Zvezda Panzer IVs (without Schürzen) that I will proxy for these. A spare pair of 88s (with extra crew of course  ) would be helpful though. FM Von Jeff I will bring my 88's with extra crew. |

I'm sorry you won't be able to make it, I would have loved to see the Italians throw down and make short work of the Allied armor. We will be having many more games to come though, keep your armies ready for the upcoming clashes.

Well, Tanksgiving 2013 has come and gone. An Axis victory over the Allied armies, 18-15 for the final score. We had a fine display of international companies represented, with the Allied armies comprised of British, French & Polish. The Axis had two German companies, and one Italian. 73 tanks entered the field of battle, and 21 were destroyed by the game's end. To my knowledge, this was the first Early war Tanksgiving at Triple Play, and all the general's had a good game.

It was great to play early war with the Italians. There tanks are actually quite competitive at that point in the war! Of course, the Jeff and Jeff German team will never admit to the key roll those Italian tanks played in sealing the Axis victory. They will brag about the great German victory instead!!
Plus my motorcycle platoon had great fun racing their bikes all over the table!

I was thinking the exact same thing, Will. How could the Germans, Brits, and French do such a thing?? So unhistorical!! But at least we both played our roles well!!

I think there would have been some things I would have done different in the assault on my Infantry. I should have let the three tanks assault me instead of firing the tank rifles. Lessons learned every game. Will |
