Greetings generals, Is there anyone interested in running a Tanksgiving event during the month of November at Triple Play? I would like to see this event in action, and we can just use the rules brought forth by Battlefront to host our own local event. This is a link to Battlefront's site with all their info on Tanksgiving: www.flamesofwar.com/hobby.aspx?art_id=4073Lets get some discussion going, and see how many folks will join up to pack the tables with little angry tanks. -Jeff

Not sure I can volunteer to run it but I definitely would like to participate. The only November weekend I am available is the 16th and 17th unfortunately.

I will run the event, and have contacted Tony to try and reserve Sunday the 17th for Tanksgiving. I'll also post on the VT FOW Facebook group to try and generate more interest. I will post updates as they come.

So, Tanksgiving 2013 is set for Sunday, November 17th. We will meet at 10AM when the store opens, and hopefully have our game underway shortly thereafter. Please post any questions or suggestions.
Hope to see you at the table.
-Jeff

Late war?
Looks like the rules call for 1500 point companies and players can bring up to four companies. Should we limit that to something less than four?

Should we limit that to something less than four? 6,000 points per player seems like a recipe for a really slow game, no more than two companies per player seem better or perhaps a single company with 2,000 points. I would suggest that no tank with a FA greater than 12. Temis

Of course, Jeff could throw us a curve and make this an Early War Tanksgiving!! It would be nice to get all those Italian tin cans on the table again. But, Chuck's Brits would probably remember to bring their can openers.

Hello generals.
I have been in talks with Jeff about building a 18 foot by five foot wide Normandy table. The center of the table is built at my place now and we have been play testing it. We will have another battle on the table this week and come to a conclusion of the six feet extension on both sides. I will front all cost on the best thanksgiving table. I will front the tables with the terrain.
You guys need to study page 58. There will be plenty of roads and narrow lanes connecting the table to cause the destruction of the (Empire of Temis). I love Temis. It's a funny way of love. Then again I do not feel loved by Temis. What say you Temis?
loving,
will

You had to go deep cover to up your love resistance meter to 12. I just have to ask if Tony gave you a power crystal to up your shield against me? Tony will never split us apart. The crap word he used was in very bad taste. I am a catholic. I will forgive him for using those derogative terms. loving Will

The miniature room at Triple Play will be hard pressed to fit an 18 foot table, if at all.

The miniature room at Triple Play will be hard pressed to fit an 18 foot table, if at all. I imagine that the Pied Piper of Windsor would want to play on there. In any case I think that playing a large tank battle on a Normandy themed table, with I assume lots of bocage, would defeat the purpose of a large tank battle.
