I might be able to make it. What points did you settle on? 1500?. Would you need another axis or allied team?

Wayne - Not exactly sure who is playing what but usually Allied forces are in shorter supply for these events.

Greetings fellow tankers, I was away for the weekend, assessing the conditions of my Panzer legions, and testing their prowess at war games. I am now ready to talk Tanksgiving and get this show on the road.
I am very glad to see all the chatter on the forum for this event. We will have a grand time of it, and I cannot wait to see all of the diminutive tank hordes clash on the field. I will speak with Jeremy and see if the store will give a discount for Flames of War merchandise for the day of our tournament.
This is the initial information that all of us will adhere to for the building of our forces:
RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. All players may only bring companies in which their combat platoons are rated as tank teams. A platoon must have at least half of the teams rated as tank teams. 2. All players may bring up to four companies. Each company cannot exceed 1500 points and a new company must be purchased if your company exceeds 1500 points. 3. Each player may only bring one infantry platoon per company and as many platoons that are rated as gun teams as are legally allowed in each company. 4. No player may have air power in any of their companies.
As for the size and layout of the table, I believe it will all depend on our final head count. And then we can decide from there.
Until next time, keep the guns pointed down range. And drill your tank crews till they can only shoot with unerring accuracy.
-Oberst Von Jeffenspiel

I'm planning on attending, but I only have Panzer IVs & Stugs. Which early war list would have these? The only ones I've seen have Panzer IIIs or lower.

FM Von Jeff Jeff your panzer IVs and stugs will be any early war German tank in clever disguise. I will see how many panzer III I can find for you. An 88 will probably be useful. The name of the game for you will be proxy. The German army only used Stugs for Infantry support in early war and a limited # of Panzer IVs(and none of them were IVh)

Temis, I found Panzer IV Ds in the Mittlere Panzer Platoon of the Mittlere Panzerkompanie. I'll use my late war IV J for these (the Schürzen and extra long barrel will be purely cosmetic). It looks like I will need at least 3 Panzer IICs though since these are a required platoon. I have some Zvezda Panzer IVs (without Schürzen) that I will proxy for these. A spare pair of 88s (with extra crew of course ) would be helpful though. FM Von Jeff

I will be bringing a 1500 point Italian Compania Carri. I can also make both either a German Czech Panzer Company (Pz38s and Pz IIs) or a Leichte Panzer Company (PzIIIs and PzIIs). If someone needs one. Or I can just supply some German tanks if anyone needs some.

Jeff-I have two 88's, and will have those with me. As of this point, I don't have them in any of my builds. I will be bringing along a German tank force consisting of Panzer II's. III's, IV's and Czech 38's. The majority of my armor will be Zvezda, and some will be proxy. As it is a local tournament, proxying models' will not be a problem. As long as you have a model on the table to represent your unit, all will be well.
Also, be sure that all of you will be following to the list builds of Battlefront, including designated specific gun teams. I will be posting again soon with more information.

Excellent support Temis, I am eager to see your armies spread out on the table. I will be fielding two German Early war companies, and they will mostly be the actual pieces from the lists. I will have a few proxy pieces however.
