TURN EIGHT
This is the final turn before the megabattle.
Special Rule: Hannibal Ad Portas!! This is the time to take the battle right to your opponents heart - their home territory. ALL points earned this turn in a home territory are doubled. Every home territory you control at the end of the turn give you one Political Influence point.
Placement for this turn is a bit more limited. Each player has 4000 points to place but those points may only be placed as follows: 2 x 2000 points armies, or 1 x 2000 point and 2 x 1000 point armies. Each player may also place 2 political markers.
I will shortly post a list of everyones home territory.
Devin and Jeremy - As the two current front runners, I will shortly be sending you some info about recruiting and organizing yourselves and you allies for the megabattle.

Megabattle:
The first place player in raw points (the heir apparent to the crown) and the second place player (the challenger) will each receive 9 bonus victory points (three per category).
They each need to recruit other players to support their claim to the crown and march alongside them into the megabattle. Players may join up willingly (sucking up for the position of Prime Minister) or their support may be bought by either contender by giving away some of his total victory points to buy support.
The contender who wins the megabattle keeps his bonus points. The contender who loses also loses his bonus points. (All nine of them, even if he had to "spend" some by giving them to other players to recruit them.) All players supporting the loser also lose whatever points they earned by pledging their support.
For the two contenders there is only win or lose. For everyone else there will also be a unique assignment given to their army. They may choose to carry out that assignment at some point during the battle and earn victory points. They may also choose to ignore that assignment. There will also be victory point opportunities scattered around the battlefield that players (not the contenders - they already got their bonus points and have to win to keep them) may try to acquire.

I totally spaced on my moves... I just got back from my student/faculty bball game. A tie again this year;) Looks like the armies of chaos got lost in the wastes again.

A tie? Is that some kind of communist "no winners or losers" policy?
