This is a thread for announcements from me or for you guys to arrange games. It can also be used for friendly trash talking or gloating. Remember though, the same people you beat today might get another shot at you in the playoffs. The league lists can be found here. League rules can be found here.

New rule: players should come to all games with a paper copy of their lists. Simply go to the league lists thread, copy and paste yours to a notepad or word doc and print it. Take this list to every league game you go to. Provide it to your opponent prior to the beginning of the game.

Allow me to open up the trash talking and say that you're all very lucky that I'm not there to whoop your asses for you.

Defiler is assembled and it is badass. You are all up the creek now! Thanks to my opponents for dealing with my missing mini yesterday.
Game 1 was with poofy. We pulled seize ground on pitched battle. It was a great close game. Poofy dropped 2 princes in one turn but I was able to take out some devilfish with some craptastic lucky shots. Everything just went my way when I wanted it too. I was quickly running out of scoring troops but the game ended in my favor on trun 5. I won two objectives to 1.
Game 2 was with Ross. We pulled capture and control on pitched battle. Ross had some terrible luck turn one. He deepstruck his pod with Arjac in my face in the corner next to my oblits. He deviated off the tables and mishapped with a 1. Horrible start for Ross. Also there was a crapload of terrain so I was able to avoid missile fire to some extent. I was able to kill Bjorn with a nurgle warptimed daemon prince to make a 3rd objective that I was able to take. I won 3 objectives to 0. I wonder what would have happened if a hit was rolled turn 1... Ross, I think a revenge match at some point may be in order.
look forward to some more good games and crushing some orks and lanky space elves.

Also there was a crapload of terrain so I was able to avoid missile fire to some extent. IIRC yours was the only table I set up according to the GW rule of 1/3rd LOS blocking, 1/3rd flat area and 1/3rd open raised (hills).

Droofus, I liked the table set up. I think all games should be set up as such. Ross still managed to nut every rhino on the board. Terrain should play a part in the outcome of a battle. Would the American Rebels have won the revolution if they didn't have trees to hide in? I think not! (well I suppose there might have been other influences in that example such as the French support)

I set up yours and Ross's and then ended up giving Poofy and Mark a table full of open hills and forests. But on the other hand, non-LoS blocking terrain has played a role in some major historical battles also. Gettysburg would have been quite different if the area in front of Cemetary Hill had been a forest instead of an open field. Just so long as no one feels gypped. ;D

anyone up for a game this week? Brad mentioned a couple posts up that he was looking for a game on Tuesday. @all: Brian has the right call by reporting the results here. You aren't required to, but it helps me with book-keeping if you report results online.
