If I missed any games please let me know. As of right now the only person to be mathematically eliminated is Ross (sorry Ross). Last week's draw between Brad and Brian bumped Brian up to 7 points, one over the 6 Ross could get for winning out. Ross's three remaining opponents are still in the hunt however and he could play the roll of spoiler.

If we come to a situation where two eliminated players have game between them, I'll leave it up to the players to decide if they want to play the game or not.

I'd like to ask that all players to send me your current bonus points (broken down by game so I can verify) so that we can have more accurate standings. Mark, you're good, but everyone else should send me theirs.

The hunt for the playoffs is on!

Important Note: In order to be counted towards your playoff record you must have your games done on or before this Saturday.

The playoffs themselves will be held on Saturday February 26th at 11:00 in Tripleplay. Since I've had some questions about the format, I've decided to repost the rules I posted on the rules thread.

Playoff Phase

-At the end of the round robin phase, the four players with the highest number of points will be invited to the playoffs, which will be held at triple play on SATURDAY FEBRUARY 26th at 11AM

-Players are still bound to the lists they used in the round-robin phase. No changeups!

-Players will be seeded by the number of points they received in the round robin round (i.e. the first place finisher will be play the fourth place finisher, while the second and third place finishers will play each other). I may also elect to give higher-placing players a further advantage (such as a bonus on the roll to go first or allowing them to select the mission). Point being, you want to be the first place finisher out of the round robin-phase.

-The winners of that seeded round will then advance to the championship game. The winner of this game wins the tourney and all the credit!

-Overtime! Since these are single elimination games, there cannot be a tie. In the event that the game ends and the players are tied, the game will continue for ONE extra round to allow the players to force a victory. If the game is still tied after this extra round, the game will end and victory points will be used as a tiebreaker.

I have some ideas for missions, as well as for the perks that will be given out to the higher-seeds. I will post them on this thread no later than one week prior to the playoffs. I've been thinking about how evil I want to be in terms of victory conditions. Whatever the missions are, they will use the tiebreaker conditions highlighted above in order to prevent draws. As you can see from those rules: THERE WILL BE NO TIES.

So far the people who have sent me their final records are as follows:

Brad 5-0-2 (Clinched number 1 seed, as all the other players have at least one loss)
Brian 5-1-1 (Clinched playoff berth as there are 4 or more other players with more than 1 loss)
Mark 4-3

Devin (I may have your record marked wrong Devin at 1-3-1. Let me know if that's the case)

This leaves Tony and Chuck to get in their final games before this weekend to have a shot at the playoffs.

Get gaming gentlemen! And as soon as you have your final record send it to me, along with a tally of your bonus points. If you haven't completed all your games by Saturday send me your final tally of the games you did complete. If any of you reach 4 losses - congrats! You are eliminated! If you reach 4 wins, then we start looking at your bonus points and it gets real interesting.

I'll make another post in this thread announcing final seeding on Saturday.

Drew - Your Feb 7th posted standings seem to have 20 wins and only 18 losses. Shouldn't the number of wins and the number of losses be equal?

Quite right! Glad someone is paying attention around here ;D Of course, I'm also in DC so I'm away from my more detailed records.

Devin has already corrected me on his record (and I've modified the monday post to show it). So that brings us up to 19 losses and 20 wins. Anyone else want to own up to having another loss? I know it's not Mark, Brian or Brad. I have their full records recorded accurately.
