Another round of great games! Round 1- Chaos versus Tony's Orks we pulled kill points in a pitched battle deployment. It was a very good game. I was dealt my first deafeat losing by around 4 kill points. There wasn't much left on the table at the end of the game. Tony's lootas were out of control. I think they got a kill point every turn. I needed to deal with them and I didn't. I also pumped an incredible amount of plasma cannon firepower into the Nobs only to have the Kustom forcefield and wound allocation ruin my day. I did get them down to 2 nobs. It is funny to note the Big Mek killed himself climbing over a wrecked rhino! Great game and well played on both sides!
Round two was a seize ground against Mark's Space Elves in a DOW deployment. I was able to squeek out a victory with one objective to none. I was able to pull him off the objective with lash. Dark reapers were hurting making my scoring units disappear. It took two daemon princes and 3 charging oblits to drop the avatar. Very close game!
I am 3-1-0. I have Brad, Lanky, and Chuckles left! I wont be in the store on the weekend for a number of weeks. I am off to colorado and taking a trip to montreal. Busy Busy! I will have to set up the games on a weeknight. Unless you are all afraid;)

Guys, just a quick note on kibitzing:
It's important to remember that these games are to be considered tourney games, as there is a prize being played for. This means that, while it is okay to watch a game that is not your own, you should not be giving tactical help to one player or another. I know it's tough. I love to kibitz as much as the next guy but in situations like a tournament you have to restrain yourself.
So in summary: please refrain from offering tactical advice or help to one player or another.

Rough Chuck... Maybe you will fare better against my Chaos.
I will be in next week one day after school to play one or two tournament games. This week is a wash.

Well, everyone has played at least one game. Here are the current standings. NOTE: I can't yet break ties because I don't have full data for the bonus/battle points. Please bring your sheets on Saturday and I'll copy off the info. Place | Name | Record | Points | Win % | Games Remaining | 1st - Tie | Tony | 3-0 | 6 | 100 | 4 | 1st - Tie | Brad | 3-0 | 6 | 100 | 4 | 3rd | Brian | 3-1 | 6 | 75 | 3 | 4th | Mark | 3-3 | 6 | 50 | 1 | 5th - Tie | Chuck | 0-1 | 0 | 0 | 6 | 5th - Tie | Devin | 0-1 | 0 | 0 | 6 | 7th | Chris | 0-2 | 0 | 0 | 5 | 8th | Ross | 0-4 | 0 | 0 | 3 |
Right now Tony and Brad are the early leaders for the top playoff spots. Meanwhile Mark is the front runner for the Tony Vandenberg Memorial "Quickest Player To Finish All The Games" Award.

Modified! You're one game from being finished Mark. That's pretty impressive.

I am new to the area and new to 40k. I have a 1500pt Space marine army 95% Painted. I have played exactly one game. Is there anybody able/willing to play a game or two on a Thursday during the day?
Also, If I wanted to drop in on a Saturday, is that kosher or do I have to sign up or something like that?
