I might be interested in a game. I think the only weekend/day I'm free is the 23rd, a Sat. Let me check on my availability for the day and I'll let yah know. If it would work for you that is? I might even get some others to play/come up if others where interested in getting a 2v2 4K each. We have quite the growing group around here now. Which is really cool!!

Awesome, that actually works for me that day as well. I just hope that there isn't another magic pre-release or 40k tournoment that day. Other then that I'll finally get to dust off my dwarf throng!

Uuhhh....yeah....just a ....little....LOL. Looks like I'm good to play that day. What time should we start? I'll have about a 1 1/2 hr'ish drive to get there. And let me know if there is going to be something going on that might not let us play. Hate to drive and then not play...

sorry I was gone. car accident messed me up. I'm back. I want to play and I was thinking we should sign up for colonial GT for this fall. I have to paint my army and everything, but I'd like to get plenty of practice because I want to start playing tournaments. Maybe we can start hosting tournaments at the store. I'm sure it's be good for business. Invite people from the burlington store to come down and battle it out.

Whats the Colonial GT?
Also I've been thinking that we should have a tournoment as well (4-5 round 500 pointer for the new or newly intrested players), never ran a one before so I wouldn't know what to do... though I do have a few ideas and old scenarios laying about.

Also are you still intrested in that trade? And when would be a good time to game for you? This coming Sat at noon or the next Sat I can make it too the store for the trade and a game if your intrested?

The Colonial GT is a Grand Tounament that is held down in the NJ area. Me and a couple other people from our group here went to it last year. There were about 77ish players. You play 5 games over the weekend. It was pretty fun too. They held it at a American legion building and they had a bar downstairs...made it really nice.... ;D We are already working on tourney list and getting things painted. That is one of requierments...all models must be painted to 3 color minimum standard. Here is the link for the site.

You can check out the results and see the pictures of the armies that were there. I took my Ogres, and my friends both had O&G. Not sure what army I want to take this year....

Yeah there are some hard list. But not OTT. The is a little comp but not much. Certain special characters, mainly Teclis and Thork, Kairos...that kind of garbage. SOme unit size limits. But the people I played were pretty nice and had good games. And if you ae interested in going I am in touch with the guy running it and trying to get a qualifier to be held in this area. Simple 3 game tourney and the top prize is a free pass to the GT. And maybe as it gets closer we can all see about car pooling or room sharing to cut cost. I'm pretty sure we have around 6 or more going up.

Hmm, folks can I get your opinion on this? I'm thinking of like running a Warhammer Fantasy: Warbands Tournoment in April. It would be at five hundred points, because I know of some people who only have small armies right now, not to mention it'll allow for the experienced players to dust off their armies and get used to the game again.

I would like to have 6+ players, though I can scratch by with 5 players minium.

Here is what I'm thinking for the set up.

*Event starts at 11AM, but please arrive early for registration at 10:30 AM
*5 dollar entry fee
* There will be a prize awarded in store credit to the first place winner
*The person with the best painted army (after a vote) will also get store credit
*Mysterous Terrian will not be used.
*Terrian is preplaced before battle
*Lore of Shadow is banned for the tournoment
*Dogs of War and Chaos Dwarfs are allowed

Army Selection-500 points
You do not have to take a lord or hero to be your army general, but you must nominate one commander model from a unit instead.
The players can have half sized Regiments. But unless the regiment fufills the basic size requiorment it cannon take any upgrades.
Wizards are limited to only level 1.
Named Characters are not allowed.
The player may select up to 1 warmachine or chariot
Lords: Lords cannot be selected for this tournoment
Heroes: You may select up to one hero, so long as it is with the 25 % limit.
Core: You must have a core minium of 25% worth of troops.
Special: Same as rulebook
Rare: Same as rulebook

The tournoment is split up into 4 rounds, each lasting an hour. I will be using 'A Little War' scenario. This Scenario I will hand out at the tournoment but with some minor tweaks to the origenal document.

Sign me up. sounds good to me. This would be a good warm up for a bigger tournament in the summer maybe. I'm sure it would help the store bring in business and promote WHFB too.
