Names Daniel or Danno and yes, I was the IG player. I wish to fight some fun games as well in the future. Though that will have to wait for next month or at least late May. And I think I'll be fighting with a smaller or slightly larger list next time.

And Dan's wraiths are crazy arn't they? Considering how cheap they are, they offer a lot to the table (Especially if you never fail a 3++ save!! :3 ) OMG the dice gods were with him. I've never seen a unit shrug off so much heavy duty firepower.

We can wait as long as you need Dan! I am still gathering/ building most of my models, and picking out paint schemes. I don't expect to have most of my force until june 1st ish.
The dice gods were indeed with Dan, but here is the thing about Dan that I don't think people were paying attention to. the first round of our first two games he almost lost an entire squad of wraiths to the worst rolling on his part i have ever seen. So it kind of equaled out later in the rounds. He does have a higher chance of succeeding then failing with a 3++ So I wasn't surprised they held as well as they did. The time I felt kind of (mean thing to say?) bad for our opponents are the two turns of 19 S8 weaponry our Eldar opponents pumped into them and killed... ONE! That is a little crazy and I didn't even know what to say. Though we really needed it if we had a chance of keeping up. I had 7/13 (at least) of my vehicles were immobilized on the first turn! (dagnabbit YOU ONES!). Then when they repaired they immobilized again! Dan's shoulders were hurting that match let me tell you. The most I did was distract them with empty rhinos and foot slogging girls to try and take some of that fire away from the wraiths. (did somebody say delicious T3 sisters?) Also those forgeworld models are fierce!!

Wraiths are raping the tournament scene right now, they are how I rocked house house in the 1500 pt tournament a while back.

they wouldn't be that tough if they didn't have two wounds, but in mean christ... for 210 points I get 6 models with 2 wounds with a 3++ save... that moves 12"... and has str6 with rending... AND 3 ATTACKS EACH!

if they change to the fantasy charge system, jump infantry won't be that useful anymore

What is the fantasy charge system?

I'll answer that.
If during the movement phase the unit may move as usual, march, or charge. If they do the later they must do the the following.
First they must roll 2D6, that shows how far they have in the charge range in inches. Then check the movement value and add that to the result of the 2D6. If they are in range of an enemy unit they are trying to charge, then they may make the charge as normal.
If they are not in range of the unit they move as per normal movement value.

In other words, jump infantry won't be able to move around and attack things with impunity. They would have to declare a charge at the beginning of the movement phase and probably it would have to be in line of sight and no intervening models.

I really hope 6th edition doesn't bring too many big changes... 5th in kinda just fine with me.

I could go for TLos being thrown out the window. I have great issue that 36" of area cover protects a squad of infantry as much as 6" of area cover, or that my tank parked comfortably behind a stand of trees isn't "Hull Down/Obscured/etc" because the store can't shell out for realistically modelled forests. I also disliked the idea that a character can't be bothered to get off his plinth of skulls to duck behind a wall (not heroic I know) or that it never occured to the sniper in the prone that maybe if he just stuck his head up and rested his gun on the wall, he might have line of sight to...well, everything.
That and back when I was learning 40K, back when only Space Marines and Dark Eldar had a codex, the only time you got a 4+ cover save was when you were in a bunkers and ruins. Walls and dense forest gave you a 5+ save, and that piddly little stand of bushes was gracious enough to grant a 6+ save.
New (old) vehicle damage rules that mimicked the probabilities of a destroyed result of the 3rd/4th edition would be super as well, but without the prices and auto-disembark rules that made them overpriced death traps.
But yeah, wraiths. Those were ded 'ard. ^_^

They need to move away from cover saves. Either make a distance through terrain you can't see, like they used to do with trees, or create some system that affects BS.
I’m tried of markerlights, the thing supposed to offset their terrible BS for a shooting army, being stupid because now they have to use it to stripe the cover saves of things they miraculously manage to hit.

TLOS is just idiotic. You really do need to abstract the area terrain out for exactly the reason Vinnie said, you cant afford to have terrain that realistic to make it work. Not to mention that you need to occasionally move peices in area terrain inorder to ensure that models can fit.
and TLOS in Fantasy is even more idiotic where you have blocks of troops 10 wide and 5 deep.

My problem with TLOS is that it's too subjective and arguments over cover always occur and it ruins the game (there are also problems with defined rules of LOS too that I discovered while playing Warmachine). I seriously doubt that true line of sight is going away, and Jeremy, I regret to inform you that they are making dramatic changes in 6th edition and it will not be the quick fix to 5th that everyone was hoping for.
