• Each team members’ army wide bonuses or special abilities applying to friendly units will only affect friendly units they control UNLESS the players are using the same codex. Just need to get some clarification on this. This means stuff like Character X makes all models count as stubborn, but only for that codex. Or Everybody in army Y gets feel no pain according to their codex so naturally this doesn't apply to teammate's Z army, or IG commanders can't issue orders to Tau Fire Warriors and Faith Points can't be used on Kabalite Warriors, correct? However: If a Farseer dooms an enemy target, an imperial guard squad shooting lasguns at it would still get to re-roll wounds? RAW, it's not a bonus to friendly models but a negative effect placed on enemy models right? Would the same farseer be able to cast fortune on the IG? Just trying to diferentiate whether that's a special ability or if psychic powers are in their own category (and being ignorant of the range of Chaos and GK psychic powers that may be a huge pandora's box of really broken combos.) Do psychic hoods from a Marine Librarian confer the same protection on their teammate's Ork Warboss? Psychic powers aside, could Tau Markerlights being used to reduce enemy unit cover saves from a bunch of Necron Gauss Cannons?

I think psychic powers would work, so yes you could fortune a guard squad. The psychic hood would work because they dont say that the psychic power has to target a marine, all it says is if a enemy model uses a psychic power while within two feet they have a chance of stopping it.
I dont think the Tau Markerlights would work, dont they say something like when a tau unit targets the squad?

Eldar psychic powers that buff only work on friendly eldar so eldrad cannot guide that 50 man IG squad. Powers like doom however work for everyone.

it does not specify what kind of eldar (they only have to be friendly) so they work on dark eldar too.

Droo, this sounds great. Any word on participants as of yet? I am still looking for a teammate and do not know who all is planning on being there. I can field codex marines, DA, Eldar, or Orks if anyone is interested.

Or Everybody in army Y gets feel no pain according to their codex so naturally this doesn't apply to teammate's Z army, or IG commanders can't issue orders to Tau Fire Warriors and Faith Points can't be used on Kabalite Warriors, correct? Correct. Yes... since per raw any failed wounds done during the turn (even by the unit's own side, if such a thing is possible) are rerolled, the source doesn't matter. No. When in doubt - casting on allied unit is disallowed unless of same codex. So you could fortune a friendly ELDAR unit, but not a friendly, say, bezerker unit (if such a thing could exist ;D) Psychic hoods are used as a reaction to an opposing player using a psychic power within the 24" radius. The presence of a warboss or the fact that he is the target is irrelevant to the fact that the psychic power was used and can be shut down. Markerlights are, as poofy says, usuable only by subsequently firing Tau or Vespid (haha) units.
