My phone doesn't do long distance calls, so you'd have to call me. I can give you a bit in gas money if that helps.

After a severe beating at the hands of the stunties, the rats of Clan Pestilens decided to exact their revenge. After replenishing their numbers, Plague Pontifex Illskut mounted his Cauldron of One-Thousand Poxes and rode forth with his Bubonic Court in search of the stunted ones. The skaven were out only a short while when they came across a small but fierce band of chaos warrior led by a Demon Lord.
The battle was not as long as it could have been (Ross needed to leave for dinner), yet it allowed enough time for the Skaven to engage, break and run down a unit of mounted chaos knights and cut down two units of marauders w/ magic. There was also time for the Illskut's entire right flank to break and flee from a unit of mounted knights and chaos trolls - and once the rats start running, it's really difficult to get them to stop! The beatings will be severe.
While I always enjoy seeing my Censer Bearers choke in their own gases, there were other highlights tonight as well: seeing a unit of Ross's chaos knights get stuck behind the unit of trolls for most of the game, casting plague twice w/ irresistible force, rolling two miscasts in the same turn, running down a unit of mounted knights in round 2, and using a Cauldron for the first time!
Not so highlights include losing the spell Death Frenzy to a miscast, seeing Ross roll WAY better than the law of averages should allow, and having to end the game early.
Upon initial estimation it looked as if the Skaven of Clan Pestilens had secured a major victory. A later approximation left the battle looking more like a draw. History, however, is subject to the fancies of the author, and I have to believe that the Skaven eaked out a minor victory this evening. *looks around innocently*
And true to my promise, I purchased the mini I will be using to represent the cauldron from Triple Play this evening. I'll have it partially assembled for next week. Btw, I love this no sales tax thing you've all got going in this state!

BURN, PILLAGE, and LOOT WEEK at Triple Play!!
February 24 - March 1st has been officially declared as WFB Burn, Pillage, and Loot week.
The Winter Campaign kicked off with a very successful raid by the evil alliance, destroying the encampment of the civilized races and cutting short their important conclave. Since then, things have stalemated in a series of pitched battles with mixed results. The Bretonnians have proved particularly troublesome. The Dwarfs are rebounding after a series of early disasters. The Wood Elves seem to be sticking close to their forests complaining of wildfires and bursting pumpkins. The High Elves of Dru Fess cower in their northern abodes frightened by the nearby rat hordes of skavenguy74 and stories of the possible appearance of the Monster Rain Ogre tribe.
And now, the Dread Necromancer of Stienbrenneria, high priest of the budding Evil Empire, (aka Destroyer of Competitive Balance, Devourer of Free Agents, and Sox Bane - and known to his "friends" as Hank) has proclaimed it time for a change in the tactics of the evil alliance.
We are now to spread terror and ruin throughout the civilized world! Burn, pillage, loot, plunder!!!! Put fear into the hearts of our enemies! Destroy their homes and families! Leave them with nothing to eat but dust and ashes! Crush their will to resist!
So, this week use the Raid Scenarios in the 3 ring binder behind the counter at the store - give our enemies a peek at what their (brief) lives will be like in the reign of the Evil Empire!

You had better not have your eye on the treasures of any "dead" civilizations. You will not find them unguarded!

My skaven will also be there on Wednesday, ca. 5pm. Will this be another mega-battle? Or are we playing 1:1's.

As far as 1:1 or a megabattle, I was thinking 1:1 unless everyone wants one big game. That way we can try out some of the different raid scenarios.

Are the raid missions 2000pts or smaller? Can they be played at any point level agreed?
I only ask because my printer is still down so I have to hand copy my lists from army builder. Would like to know what one to bring.

outamimynd: What point level were you thinking of? I'll bring in 4 lists: 500, 1K, 1.5K and 2k.
(I could probably go for a smaller game this week anyhow.)

I think I will have a 500, 1000 and 2000 lists. Will try to get a 1500 as well. Doesn't matter right......? Any point "good" list should be able to defeat any point "evil" list.
