Late in the evening last night the forces of the benevolent wood elves and a sturdy mustering of one eyed dwarves teamed up to take a stand for the citizens of the old world against the raiding forces of the spiteful dark elves.
The forces of seized the initiative by spending their first turn shooting and taunting yet not moving an inch. The tactic was very successful as random arrows killed THREE dark of the Supreme Sorceress Devina’s reapers. The Dreadlord Brianisevil had to chuckle to himself from behind the line on his ‘Pet” dragon as all his troops remain intact. The dwarf’s efforts were not as successful due to “The Annual Grungii Brewers Festival”. We are still not sure if they were hung over or still drunk. Needless to say they failed to hit or wound with three bolt throwers and an organ gun misfired!
The Dreadlord orders his forces forward while the Supreme Sorceress hangs in the woods to do what she does best. The magic and shooting answer back and do several wounds… a very successful first turn for evil.
The second round brought a charge from the dryads on a terrible hydra. The wood elves managed to do less damage this time and the dwarfs… well lets just say they were no on their game. They managed to wound the large monsters again! I see red mohawks in their future (well if they had a future!) The dryads failed to wound the hydra and proceeded to flee! The hydra pursued into a unit of dwarf’s. They held fast eager to prove themselves braver than an elf!
The Dreadlord’s dragon salivated for dwarf flesh and proceeded to charge the dwarf lord supported by a hydra. To begin with the cold ones failed their stupidity on a 12! The harpies charged the organ gun that misfired and tied it up for the rest of the game. The corsairs charged in to support the hydra and the frenzied corsairs were forced to charge another dwarf unit. The supreme sorceress’s cold ones charged some chilled thunderers. With a short magic and shooting phase the dark elves were eager to fight.
The battle went from looking mediocre to looking grim for the allied forces of good. The dwarf lord challenged the Dreadlord and was eaten by the dragon. They did some wounds as well. The courageous dwarfs held though. The corsairs and the revealed assassins killed a dwarf BSB and forced both units to run. The hydra ran down one unit and the other unit got away only to be recharged and destroyed later with the help of a black horror.
In the Wood Elf counterassault the Treeman and Treeman ancient managed to destroy a unit of corsairs and assassin and do 4 wounds to a hydra. The Supreme Sorc’s cold ones cut down some slayers while the Dreadlords two remaining cold ones ran through some wood elf archers.
