Warhammer Fall league

Since the summer 40k campaign seems to have gone relatvely smooth I think a fantasy campaign for the fall seems a good idea.

It would be run similar to the 40k one. Run on the forum with missions being posted weekly. As Fantasy games take a bit longer to play usually, I think only one game a week.

One thought on this one. How about we take turns adding to the story and missions each week?

Example week 1.

I create the story setting, and post a mission.

week 2

devin adds to the story, and posts a mission he wants to do.

This might be kind of cool as at least every once in a while you get a mission you like.

Of course if people aint enthusiastic about this I will do it , I dont mind.

So, same deal $5 to get in. Prizes, 20% off fantasy for the league duration.

I'm in. What are you thinking the starting points will be? I just ask because you might have to tweak some stuff? I'm sure most armies can't fit a hero and two core choices in 500 points.

Count me in too! I like the idea of all of us taking a role in the missions. With Fantasy, the missions should be much simpler anyway.

Boss has OK'd time off for me. If you guys don't mind showing a new guy the ropes I would love to learn. I have only played 2 games of fantasy (and Steve creamed me both games)!

I could play Orc, Empire, Wood elf, or High elf depending on what other people are going to use for the league.

I could be available on Wednesdays, and sometimes on Friday or Saturday.

I'm tossing a few ideas around now. I like keeping the starting points down as to allow newcomers to keep up with their army building.

But I want it high enough where people will be able to play with Lord level stuff eventually.

If once a month is often enough for me to participate I'm in. I'm up north a bit and I can't justify once a week down there to you guys.

edit - If once a month handicaps my ability to "win" the league, I'm not bothered, I just wanna play!

Yea you might not get as many points, but if youre just playing to have fun, who cares, come on in.

Alright. Ill start it September 8 it will go to Nov 16.

Starts at 1000 pts. You will add 200 pts a week. We will cap it at 2200 pts, so people have time to play a game in one evening. Standard force organization. I will set the first mission and setting. I will come up with a list of players who will come up with the next weeks scenario. We will rotate . You can even add a bit of fluff to the story, perhaps based on how your army fared in the previous week.

Sounds good. Does it look like there will be enough people for the league? Do we know what armies will be used yet?

Oh, one more thing... Can league games happen on Saturdays? I work until 11pm during the week, can't make it down there except on Saturdays. (Really wish you guys hadn't cut Sundays out )

Obviuously since I'm down only once a month, don't rearrange the league for my sake, if I have to sit out that's fine, I'll just be the "tune-up" battle for anyone who wants to play on Saturdays. ;D

League games can be any day of the week. We post the scenario on here by sunday evening. You have till the following Sunday to play.

And sundays will be returning soon i think.

Please list what army you will be using.
