My fault for closing the store early at 4:30pm. My wife and I had carpooled that day and was out at 4pm. So I was trying to balance gamer wrath vs. wife wrath  Jeremy Word. I had that same dilemma while I was pwning Ben this evening. Right Ben? Good thing I had to leave or otherwise... ;D |

Sure that's exactly how that went down... ;D
I played 3 great games tonight. Demons are a weird army, gonna take some time to get used to them.
Lessons learned.
As I expected the Beast of Nurgle Blows.
Flamers only own if you can drop them 3 inches off the side of an enemy unit. If you get a bad roll and they start on the table theyre useless.

Oh, and Ben, if you didn't figure it out, I'm going daemon and hoping funds keep up. (Which probably won't work out due to current mounted daemonette prices) (Check Ebay, it's hilarious and depressing at the same time.) (Ugh, why does the list I wrote have to include 24 of them...)

Its possible theyre attainable thru GW still, Ill try and get you some.
They re amazing though. So are the elite slaanesh choices.
I only painted a Beast of Nurgle becasue the model was new . They are freaking awful. Thyre not even a good bullet shield. They bend over to bolters.
The plaguebearers however have amazing staying power. They bite in h2h though.

One word - Tallyman.
He makes the nurgle guys just incredible. Brad used him against Tom and Ethan in an Apocalypse game and I was just shocked at how nasty he makes the rest of the army. So I wouldn't knock all-nurgle until you've tried playing with the Tallyman.

MEh... I'm not sold on him.
In apocalypse hes amazing. Because theres so many models on the table, its not that hard to kill a dozen or more models fast.
In a regular game it could take an all Nurgle army a while to get some kills. Because they deep strike, squads always have to wait at least one turn getting shot at before they assault.
In a regular game all your opponent has to do is make sure they make killing him priority one. He's not that hard to kill. Just a Plaguebearer with more wounds.
Also if you don't get him on turn one, it could be a while before he even shows up. Because he only counts the models killedwhile hes on the table.
Just my impressions from reading his entry. Although it is tempting to put a fat nude man on the table. ;D

Alrightguys. I think week 1 went well. Slowly ironing out problems. Please dont wait forever to post your week 1 results. I cant update standings until I know all results.
Week 2 Scenario
Staking A Claim!
600pts
INitial forces have landed , time to secure a landing area for further reinforcements.
Secure and Control , Roll For Level. Still 4x4.
You also earn bonus points for meeting the following conditions.
3 pts if you destroy your opponents highest cost unit. Decide before the game if he has equally expensive units.
One of your soldiers has been blessed by the chaos gods, devin's mom, emperor..whatever....
Nominate one of your soldiers before the game starts. THis soldier gets to reroll all his rolls during the game. To hit, to wound, leadership if hes leading a squad. EVERYTHING. THe drawback, if your opponent kills him he gets 5 bonus pts.
IMPORTANT NOTE!!!!! You only get the bonus pts on your first game. Not the further 2 bonus games.

As additonal troops pour in, oppsoing forces send out patrols into the wilderness searching for tracesof the webway portal. Shoot first ask questions later.
"Building Up" -700 pts
Patrol. Page 191 40k rulebook.
Bonus pts.
+3 if you end the game with one of your scoring units in the opposing deployment zone.
+5 if you annihilate all opposing units.
