I don't particularly care myelf, but he and Sanguinor are governed by the same exact goofy hazy rules.
Its hard to argue that one is a unique special character and one would be a unique special person. When both their entries are exactly the same and without any clarifications from gw.
So I think your safe if you play him as a character.

Prey that the next Tau or Eldar Codex doesn't take from Neon Geneis Evangellion. It's bad enough we have more or less Chaos-Transformers, try imaging haughty elves or greater goody two shoes tau with mechs who have emo problems.

So folks, as we already know there will be 'Allied Army Lists' coming soon in the form of WD and of a possible supplement next year. My question though is what armies do you think will get this treatment? It is most likely the Kroot and Vespid's will get lists of their own, but what of the other forces in the galaxy?
Personally I'm hoping for a Traitor Guard expansion for the CSM, though it might also be likely you can see a Mechanicus or Dark Mechanicus on the horizon.
So what do you think will come to pass?

Harliquins, Fallen, Demiurg, Hurd, Rogue psykers, Arbites, Genestealer Cult, Exodites, actual Catachan, actual Inquistional Forces, Costodes, .........
Although Im begining to questions some of obvoius choices because for the most part the 6th edition allies rules let you field a load of combinations that could be used to represent fluff.
P.S. Cypher of the Fallen was apparently supposed to be in Dark Vengence on the chaos side but was axed from the release. Now there are some promational spanish rules for him floating around that says you can only use them for 2 months which matches up with the dark angel release.....

*Nods* I'm not sure about the Custodes, since I think they will be Horus Heresy only.
And about Cyper that leads to one of two possibilitys.
1: Cyper will be in the Dark Angel Book, which to be honest does'nt make much sense unless they say their can't be taken any more HQ Choices or no models in the 'inner circle'.
2: Cyper will be part of The Fallen. This make much more sense and would explain as to why he fights along side chaos but is not part of it, or why he could fight along side other forces on his way to Terra.

The Custodes are still around, there job has been regulated to toliet man watch. But they still get to look scary standing in doorways and stuff.

Alright so I'm looking over the rules for CSM, I'm in the army list section and find this rule for typhus but also other CSM HQ choices.
'If used in a primary detachment, Plague Marines count as Troop Choices'.
Does that mean they count as troops in lists where they are allies with Typus as the HQ choice or do they count as core if they are with the main army?

It means they are only troops if you take them as your main army.
Your primary detachment is as follows
Required: 1 Hq 2 Troops
Optional 1 Hq 4 Troops 3 Elites 3 Fast Attack 3 Heavy support
