Sadly I got pulled into work for Sunday. It sounded like a lot of folks were gonna be around Triple play, so i was sad. We have a lot of people requesting days off here and getting them!  so I need to cover a bunch. Wednesday is probably the only day I can't do which is kind of sad. I will try to get a Wednesday off one of these weeks so we can get another game in. |

Reread that reserves rule on page 124.
I had 13 units:
Drop pod
Dread
Drop pod
Libby
Stern
Drop pod
Tact
Rhino
Tact
Rhino
Tact
2 speeders
2 speeders
You guys talked me into that "I could only reserve 7 total including the drop pods of my 13 total units."
First of all, anything that must start in reserve doesn't count (3 drop pods). Next, a unit and its transport count as a single unit (dread, stern, tact). So the 50% rule should have applied to five units:
Libby
2 speeders
2 speeders
Rhino (tact)
Rhino (tact)
So I should have been able to reserve the Libby and all the speeders....
Cheaters... ;-)

It's just a different way of reading the rule. I think the way you put is mostly right... if the Libby is attached to the sternguard, I think it goes in the upper/ not couting category.
My perspective was that wince you could choose not to reserve the squads in the drop pods that they didnnot fall into the same category as flyers and certain deamons who cannot deploy regularly and are always in reserve. I think you perspective is correct and as a fellow droppoder and I am happy for it.

About the Libby, since it says even if he joins a unit he counts, then he counts.

I agree with poofy. I think the Libby counts (independent char) even if he is attached.
I just thought the rules paragraph there might make for some interesting conversation.

I can't make it Saturday unfortunately; however, I can make it Friday around 6ish if you or anyone else would be interested in a game. Gonna bring a 1500 sisters list.
