can a model be the target of more than one animus provided the spells are not upkeep spells and all different?

Nope, it can have one animus and one upkeep spell on it. Casting additional animi on it replaces the previous one, same as with upkeep spells.

No, a model that is thrown ignores intervening terrain and models, therefore cannot be free struck.

This also applies to Slams and all other forms of involuntary movement- only a model leaving melee by advancing is subject to Free Strikes.
