I believe it's going to be some form of city fight. Brush up on the building assault rules, etc. 800 points is the point limit so we can *hopefully* get a game in as attacker and defender. I plan on making just one list for both purposes, but to each there own!

I will have to be adventureous in my list making.... I am trying to avoid proxying.
But on the more important topic... Yes I agree that there will be city fighting this week. and I believe, as jeremy mentioned, 800 points is the number for this friday.

I will stop by the store tonight but probably briefly and won't actually be playing. I will bring the villa I have so folks can use that in the building assault if they wish.

Well Corby and I tried out the city/town fight scenario on Friday night. In about 5 turns my American assault company was victorious over the British Guards armor force. I had 3 boat teams from the big red one and 1 armor plat of Sherman's. Corby had a plt of Shermans, a plt of Stuarts, a plt of 6 pounders, and 2 command shermans(6 shermans and 4 stuarts).
The British were the attackers and finished setting up first however the "fickle finger of fate deserted" them and the American moved first. Not much happened in the first turn except that we traded ineffective fire (I did pin the Anti-tank plt) and the British sprung their Ambush(the Stuarts Which moved in front of one of my boat units).
The second turn thought things got moving one of my boat units(plt) moved up to the stuarts and Bazooka (3) and flamethrower fire destroyed one and bailed the other 3. The Assault the followed was pretty tame since I could only loose if I failed my tank terror test(s) and I had my 1st ic along to help out. The British ran before I did and I moved into the courtyard of the Chateau de Hear.
After that things went downhill pretty fast for England the rest of the game the Command Shermans moved up to the Chateau to deal with my offensive. Their fire was ineffective in their turn and I bailed one with my Bazooka fire in my turn . In my assault I killed one and the other boged down trying to withdraw (over the wall) and was captured. In Corby's turn he took his Sherman plt and tried to gain control of one of my objective's. but he couldn't kill my team with in 4" and in my turn I killed his tank plt and left him below half strength with no first in Command. the battle was over.
Corbys luck was really bad. His Anti-tank plt was pinned on turn one and never unpinned. He was using an army not really suited to city fight( no Infantry he doesn't have any British Infantry yet). His luck overall was pretty bad.
A few things about the scenario we made mistakes setting up the game. We should have set up at least 8" apart this hurt Corby worse than it did me. My Bazookas were able to shoot at his tanks all game(with little success though). We also made mistake placeing Obbjectives they are supposed to be placed in a room we didn't . Not sure if the room has to be big enough to take an objective or the objective is smaller, something that should be asked.
Those people who are hopeing to play two 800 point games in one night are dreaming. It took us most of the evening to play 3 1/2 turns with not a lot of movement.
I don't think that there are enough buildings at Tripleplay to play the city fight scenario well. We used all the Middle east building and all the Russian building and the chateau de Hear and had a town with a lots of open space (even on 3' x4' table) We did forget to use the of blasted building.
Those of us with building will need to bring some next week and we might want to consider a 2 on 2 game or even a 3 on 3 game. Also we will need 6 manhole covers per game(blank wargame counters would be good.

If all goes well with the weather. I will have nine buildings to bring this upcoming Friday. Two of the buildings are eight x 12 size. I have a few more bids to win on eBay this upcoming week. Then as more buildings go on sale at eBay. I will steadily add to my collection.
I propose we do one table with all my buildings and play a 800 point company per player game this coming Friday.
This way we have all hands on deck learning the building and city fight together. I think it would be better then multi board learning. It can be all on one table or two tables placed together.
If there is unbalance teams. Then a player can field another 800 point company to balance the game. The goal is to learn the rules. I think we all learning together is something different then we did with trench fight.
Then we can switch the roles of attacker and defender the following week. So who will be the attacker or defender this week?
Will

the city fight scenario Not one step back does not have a defender and attacker the way trench fight does. You roll a die high roll gets to be the attacker and picks which side he wants to attack from(then you roll again after set up to decide who goes first
both sides have objectives they can go for had Corby not had to make a company morale check I would have won because I would have held an objective. Thus we only need to decide who will be playing German and Allies.
Mike and N'Steve will not be there this Friday and you and Brad must play Germans, Corby's availability depends on where he works this week. Thus it seems likely that O'Steve and I will have to play Allied with Jeremy being the wild card.
Will Your total of building is most impresive but by itself it is not enough a 3'4 table is 1728 square inchs if you had 9 buildings that were 8*12 that would be just over 800+ inchs and we would still need more buildings to get a real city ;D
I will bring some of mine I have a bunch and Steve has some more too
By the way when I said 2x2 or 3x3 game I meant one game with 2 or 3 people on a side. Although 2400 points on one 3' x4' table might be a bit crowded

We all should probably be prepared to play 1 1600 point army in addition to 800 point armies since if Colby can't make it it will 2 on one. I would also suggest that everyone make some(no more than 4) Multi room building plans so that we have foor plans for those building that are solid resin.(The first one that goes in to a building he draws one floor plan at random )

I will be back next friday the 18th. I cant wait to see those buildings. Just a heads up that I will try to bring two armies for that friday one for a building assault/defend and my tournament list for the 26th tourney if i get a chance to get a practice game in.

I hope you are not to disapointed by them they will have to be crude not truely to scale. Since I would imagine that None of us has anything but a vauge idea of what the building look like(I used them last week and I can only remember what one really looked like). The small ones like the Mosque from the Mid east set should be one room. We will need floor plans for the 2 or 3 bigger ones and I imagine that we will have to be a bit creative to use some floor plans with some buildings. I would suggest that we asume that all rooms are big enough so that at least one medium team can fit in every room (you can leave out small bathrooms and all closets except large walk in ones). I will bring as many of my building as I can easily carry

Doubtful that I will be there tonight. Something I ate yesterday is being quite disagreeable today.
