We had one person out sick for the ToC playoffs, so it was decided that we would ditch the single elimination style and stick with a round-robin system for the playoffs. Everyone would play each other with the seeding bonuses and playoff rules in effect.
Of course, Brad beat Brian, Mark beat Brad and Brian beat Mark, leaving everyone at 1-1-1. Victory points were determined to be the tie-breaker and the victor was decided by a mere 130 victory points.
I'm proud to announce that the victor in the 2011 ToC is...
Mark! Mark was able to inflict enough victory point damage in a victory over Brad and a loss to Brian to claim the tiebreaker. Congratulations to Mark! He achieved this victory while playing missions chosen by his opponent and having the terrain moved on him. Mark will receive $70 in store credit.
Best Sportsman was actually the Best Sportsmen as there was a tie between Ross and Tony! They will split the prize and each receive $5 in store credit.
