IG: Independant Grots, an army blog (update 3/19)

So I've wanted to try out guard for some time, but as everyone knows the Imperium is balls, so I wanted to do something different. After toying with the idea of making a mercenary company IG army, I suddenly realized that I can't stray too far from my Orky roots.

Therefore, the Grot Rebellion begins!

First fully converted and painted model, the Squig Tank Sentinel!







Here is the first squad of Veterans, minus one melta that I need to convert and add.



And a closeup of the two "zzap-blasta" grots, which will count as meltaguns.





And here are the Weirdlings, which will count as sanctioned psykers!







I will post more as the army progresses. I have an assembled Chimera, but haven't started converting it up and looting it. The first Chimera will be for the Weirdlings. This thread will serve as a progress report blog, and I will be sure to post more pics as they come along!

The first squad pictured above is fully painted and based (aside from the two meltas, I guess....), just awaiting the finishing touch of static grass! I will post pics once I get the meltas done and get some grass on there.
