I would like to suggest, in honor of the current climate conditions, that in all battles we play this Friday we play with the general winter rule( page 245 main rule book), all terrain is difficult going(bog check ) for every thing except infantry and cavalry. ;D ;Dr]

Not to mention that we are still in January which means we would still be using the same 1000 point lists.
This could prove interesting, especially for your lend-lease horde temis.....Unless you have some sneaky trick up your sleave lol

I will bring some white battlemats if I remember.
I am hearing rumors about a trip to the Montshire Museum with the grandkids Friday night for the opening of a new exhibit based on the Blue Man Group. Will keep you informed if those rumors develop into anything.

Heyya, new member/player here. The name's Brad, I went to the game on the 21st I think it was? I should be there for the 28th! looking forward to learning more about the game  Any tips/help would be appreaciated. Might be a little while before I can really play. You guys sure did pick an expensive hobby ;D  I want to do a LOT of research before I commit to an army. |

Welcome to the group and fourms Brad! When I chose my first army I wanted something that I could use in mid-war and late-war. So I chose Americans for this reason. Most of the platoons I initially purchased were easily usable in both periods. The same thing holds true of my German forces. Most of what I have is good for use in either time period. Knowing this should help keep the cost down somewhat.

Thanks! I really appreaciate the warm welcome. it actually looks like I wont make it this week as Friday happens to be a friends Birthday. I plan on making it just about any other week Ic an though!

Looks like we are going to the Montshire on Friday. It is the kick off event for their Blue Man Group exhibit and Blue Man Group is apparently going to be there Friday night. I may try to stop in for a few minutes afterwards. Since we are doing Winter games, I may still try to pop by the store on our way through around 4:30 or so and drop off the white battlemats.

Ha Ha just kidding. I hope you have fun with your grand kids. It sounds like it will be a fun exhibit. I love blue man group. I am hoping to be there early to meet you.
Do you think you could bring those german's again? brad and may be able to play some pick up games during the week to get him more familiar with the game so that he can be ready for our big game at the end of the month. So I wanted to know if I could borrow them in the mean time?
