Games Workshop has been hinting at new Skaven models for months... NOW they are out. Here's the Hell Pit Abomination: and the new Warp Lightning Cannon: Jeff

Looks like an awesome kit and model, but I really wish they'd fire that painter. He's the same guy that made the new Minotaurs look like bloated flabby garbage. But the models themselves are sweet.

It's supposed to be a giant mutated worm. I like the pose, but I think they could have made the body more fuller like a worm. The top is cool. It has no eyes (i.e. blind worm) and the smaller rat heads mutating out is cool. Here's another one being painted by Games Workshop: Mark Bedford: I painted my Hell Pit Abomination in very dark and dirty colours - I can't imagine that it would wash very often, being down in the sewers all the time. The Abomination is kind of like Frankenstein's Monster - all stitched together and covered in dirt and filth, so I tried to get several different skin tones on the model to represent it coming from several different creatures.I like the claw in the above picture. I like the mace arm from the previous model though. The green flames coming out (ala Screaming Bell) are great. I bet the model is even more impressive up close. Jeff

Yeah, definitely a neat model... I wasn't sure about the first head with the warp-scepter thing coming out of the mouth, but the second head with the tusks is cool.
