Via warseer, who are usually pretty reliable at the 1 month mark (which is where we are)... www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=277013Very exciting stuff. Here are my initial thoughts: Having poisoned weapons as your basic firearm should be interesting. Should give help where it is needed (against higher toughness foes) while not making DE any better than they already are against guard equivelants. Pretty cool. Getting a melta weapon in the form of the "heat lance" should set up DE as the premiere armor-killers of 40k. They were good before, they should be great now. Depending on his points value, Asdrubal Vect might become THE character to take. His ability will make your opponent WANT to give you first turn. And considering that first turn is something that Dark Eldar coveted under the old dex and will still desire under this one, that's a very good thing. Cool that they're adding several new types of skimmers to the list. The ability to move 12" and fire all weapons is really cool and in keeping with the army. What do you guys (and especially Devin) think about this?

I'm waiting to decide on my opinion of the heat lance until it's confirmed if it's 18" range or 12". A S6 Melta Lance, while sounding dagnabbit good at first glance, is really just a worse melta if they have the same range. At 18, then things become interesting.
Vect is nice, but does little for a fairly dedicated Wych Cult player.
The poison weapons should be interesting, but Marines and Monstrous creatures have never really been anything Dark Eldar have struggled with.
That being said, the new Reaver rules mean that I may be bringing them back into the list
Lelith is ungodly, and comes in at a whole 18 points more than my current Archite.
Ravagers being able to move and fire is going to be nice, especially with Disintegrators becoming slightly worse 3rd edition Star Cannons.
Also, the Pain Point system was awesome to start with, and is even moreso if gaining one is a possible drug roll. That is all for now.
