I know GW hasn't released a model for the Hell Pit Abomination yet (rumored to be soon)and I was looking at the "Bag of Cthulhu" in the store today. If I based a couple of the big Cthulhu on a GW base and painted them up in my Skaven motif, could I use them as proxies for Hell Pit Abominations? They aren't giant worms with rat heads sticking out the side, but they abominable. What should the base size be? Jeff

I am sure that would be fine for games just for fun, but for GW tournaments you have to have any conversions based off of GW products. If you are going for giant worms with rat heads, buy a tube or two of green stuff and some bendable wire and make some wormy things and glue some rat heads on it. That kind of stuff is pretty easy with green stuff, and would probably be cheaper then buying models if you happen to have any spare rat heads lying around... Plus it's pretty fun making your own stuff and worm/rat things might be a good place to start to get familiar with working with green stuff!

Jeff uses GW bases, so technically these are based off of GW products.

For an official GW tournament, any converted models must be at least 50% GW parts.
But for casual games and such, I don't see anyone here having a problem.
