I'm excited about Carnage coming up! It'll be my first game convention, so I'm not sure how board gaming works there.
The registration book lists ~4 hour chunks for games. What happens when a game only takes up part of that time? Do people stay for the whole time and play multiple rounds? Or is there a chance to wander off and drop into other games, a la board game night? Should I select game slots for the whole time I'm there, or leave some free slots?
Thanks for any pointers, Noah

Hey Noah, Usually if a game takes only part of a four hour block it will be played a second time. That being said this is not always the case. Especially at a convention, you might be learning a new a game and would like to play a second time once you get the hang of the game. There are always pick up games going on at Carnage. We have a library of games that are available for play between slots or if you have a free slot. Most of the newer games are available as well as some old classics. There are games in the library that are not being presented in a regular slot. So there is always a game to be had! As for suggestions as to how to proceed with selecting your game slots.....well if you think the game is going to be popular I would pre-reg for it early. Many of the more popular games tend to fill up quickly. If there is a slot you are not sure on...you may want to leave it open and see what catches your eye at the convention or again pick a game out of the library and start a pick up game. Also check the website www.carnagecon.com for any additional games that have been added since the book was printed. In the board games for example Defenders of the Realms and Castle Ravenloft have both been added. Neither game was available when the books went to print, but since have become available. If you have any more questions (or if anyone does) please post here and I will try my best to answer them. Or if I can not, get you an answer. Hope to see everyone at Carnage! Rod
