I've gotten army builder working for Flames of War, and am now thoroughly confused. If I try making the 1500 point list I've been using from Festung Europa, it comes to around 1200 points, but the other two books Tankovy Batalons can be made from put it over 1500. So, which book is the accepted one for normal Friday night games?
Edit: I believe I've gotten it to work in Ostfront, but I'm still curious about why I'm not using Festung Europa.

Festung Europa is for late war (Jan - August 1944 time period). We use Ostfront and Afrika both are (1942 and 1943, mid war). So, the stuff that we think is really powerful in 1942 and 1943 is not so hot by 1944 and is mostly cheaper in Festung Europa.
Your list should work out to be exactly 1500 points in Ostfront. HQ of one T34/85 tank for 70 points, 5 T-70 light tanks (160), 5 T-34/76 medium tanks (425) and 4 KV-85s (845 points). KV-85s are so expensive because they are the "gorillas in the room" in 1942 and 1943. Only a few weapons have a decent chance of taking them out - mostly German 88's and Tigers. And, of course Ferdinands which cost almost 500 points each.

Ok thanks. It wasn't working out in Ostfront because I thought the T-70s were in a platoon of 10
