Jeff, don't be discouraged by the lack of response. It was a really busy week for almost all of the guys with the 'ard boys going on.
Keep checking, a lot of people are available for a game during the week.
Also, you might want to plan a little extra time for your first game, mine took several hours just because I wasn't familiar with the game.

Thanks for replying. It was pretty short notice so I wasn't surprised that no one responded. If I had known sooner that I had an opening in the weekend schedule, I would have posted sooner. I may try again for this weekend, but I have to see what the various family schedules are.
BTW, are there any other Warhammer rookies out there that just picked up IOB? What about High Elves or Skaven rookies starting a new army with IOB?
I'm curious what direction people are going with IOB. My main interest is in Skaven at the moment, but I do like High Elves alot (especially because of Dragons). Skaven's Hell Pit Abomination looks like alot of fun (chaos+carnage) with a high risk/high reward random factor. I read a rumor of a model coming out for it soon. I'm thinking of buying a second IOB and maybe trying to convert one of the Rat Ogres into a Bonebreaker with the warlord (modified without the banner) on it's back. I'd like to get a ton of slaves (100+), but can't find an economical way to amass that many models in the near future. Forget the $15 pack of 5 slaves... that's $300 for a hundred. IMO, slaves should be a one piece model sold in a box of 25. We'll see.... I can always run 40 clanrats & 40 slaves with two IOB sets.

Thanks for the ebay find.
I've been looking into a few of the online bitz stores as well. Clanrats with hand-weapons are definitely the cheapest unit from IOB. The ones with spears seem hard to find.
The book alone is going for $20-$30. Crazy.
The High Elf units seem to be commanding some high prices too. Like the 10 Sea Guard for $30 (http://www.thewarstore.com/product55827.html).

Man, I should pick up a couple copies of IOB, looks like I could make 2-300% profit! Ridiculous.
