On Sunday October 31st, I'd like to have a special Halloween gameday down at Triple Play! We open at 10am, and I will be there so we can run later than the usual 2pm. Come on down and play some horror-themed board games (or any old board games, but there are so many fun horror games to choose from: Arkham Horror, Last Night on Earth, Betrayal at House on the Hill, etc etc!) and perhaps get in some tricks and treats!

Sounds like a great idea. What are some other Halloween appropriate/ horror type games that could be played? Are there other ideas for things that we could do to make this a big and fun event?

Do we know someone interested in running a horror themed RPG? Plenty of horror themed board games. Arkham Horror, Betrayal, Last Night on Earth..... How about some Zombie miniatures?
Looking forward to this....should be alot of fun!

If anybody picks up Castle Ravenloft, that's a good compromise between horror board game and horror rpg!

Halloween Gameday sounds like a great idea. I'll plan on it unless family-style commitments interfere. I was looking at Castle Ravenloft a while back when WOTC was listing their releases for 2010. It reminded me ALOT of Descent. Maybe that was just because of all the minis. Here's a URL to the unboxing. There is also a link to the manual. After watching the video I'm even more reminded of Descent. Here's a snapshot of the ad: Jeff

Conrad ran a great zombie 40K scenario a few years ago. Everyone fielded something like a 300 point squad and battled the zombies that kept appearing randomly on the table.

If you own any of them, bring 'em! I dont know who owns Arkham Horror, but at this rate Alliance will never send one to Triple Play for me to buy... I will definitely be bringing my 2nd ed Betrayal at House on the Hill!

BEWARE the grey plague!!!
Well, they were mostly unpainted at the time. Lord knows I have enough of these buggers in cases. Maybe something 40k Kill-team-y? 200pts, picked from a Codex, no vehicles, Fast-Elite-Troops only. 3 Special rules may be added to 3 of your models. No doubles, no stacking. (1 Model can't have 2, and 2 Models can't have the same Special Rule) Don't have to completely fill out a unit. (2 man scout squads, 3 man IG platoons)
Maybe if we can rustle up a bag-o-zombies it'll be even greater. (And, RHPS or Army of Darkness in the background would make it even BETTER)

There is always twohour wargames ATZ better dead than zed. Thats an amazing rpg slash wargame. Get enough zombie models and acouple of reg looking same sized non zombie models and you would be doing great. I will be trick or treating with my son but if anyones interestedi can give them therundown on how to play. Poofy and ross have played chain reaction with me and thats basicly the same rules.

Had a lot of fun, thanks for the guys who showed up today! First we bested Shub-Niggurath in a game of Arkham Horror, then we defeated Jeff the traitor and his plant monsters in Betrayal at House on the Hill.
Happy Halloween everybody!
