...I ordered some Bretonnians!
Beware the sound of hooves! For Droofus has gone from one arrogant and pompous army to pick up another. I'm going to do some research on my ancestors to see if I can find any coats of arms to use on my knights. Should be fun.
Don't worry Brian, I'm still down to split two Island of Blood boxes with you, I'm just starting a new army like a crazy person.

Nice choice! I just started Bretonnia myself. Definitely fun to paint as each knight can be completely different from the others. I have played a couple test games with proxies against my friend's Beastmen and they have faired pretty well.

I always suspected you were a silly English K-N-I-G-H-T at heart, Drew. Forget the horses, just go with the retainer with the two empty halves of coconuts. You easily could fit the knight and the retainer both on the same cavalry base.

Ben- good to hear they're still playable under the new rules. I had heard internet rumblings that they had gotten nerfed. Either way, I like the minis and the theme. Steve, that idea is made of win! Though I suspect I wouldn't be the first to do that

Wait... I don't know that! AAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
Also, it's sad that Damsels can't use fire magic. Otherwise I'd definitely have to make a model for Tim the Enchanter.

Drew- The only real downside to the new rules with Bretonnia is since they axed the chargers strike first rule your charges might not be as devastating. However, I have found that between their armor save and ward save for blessing of the lady I usually end up with a full unit's worth of charges anyway against most critters, and usually if they are negating my armor save they have great weapons and are striking last anyhow. As far as charging goes with the distance roll, I have found that I can usually count on 15-20 inch charges, which isn't half bad. The lance formation is nerfed a little bit because a normal knight unit from empire or chaos can get supporting attacks from the rear rank so there isn't as much difference in number of hits anymore, though with the lance you get the horse attacks all along the flanks so it's still a little better. Then of course you get the rank bonuses pretty easily without having to have 20 knights in the unit...
As far as magic goes I am pretty happy with lore of the heavens for my high prophetess. Chain lightning is an excellent wizard nuker for those that put their wizards out on their own, and comet of cassandora can be used as a deterrent to great effect. Lore of Life has been fairly disappointing, and I have yet to try lore of beasts...
As for the Monty Python references, I am planning on a small unit of questing knights that have coconut clapping men at arms instead of horses...

Lore of life is amazing. As is beasts. Just in different ways then the other lores. They are both really good at buffing your guys. Remember if you cast a beast augment spell on your knights the casting value is reduced by 1.

Drew, there's really only one option for your Damsel's Lore of Beasts Transformation.
