This coming Saturday (June 19th) there is a game day at the Mermorial Hall in Essex VT. It starts at 10am and ends around 10pm. The Green Mountain Gamers only ask for a small donation of $5 to $10. And as the name states there will be opportunity to grill up some food. So bring along anything you may want to throw on the grill. For more info go the Green Mountain Gamers Website.... www.greenmountaingamers.com/green-mountain-game-days/A group of us from the Upper Valley near White River Jct and Lebanon are planning on car pooling to the Game-n-Grill next Saturday June 19th. We are planning on meeting between 7:15am and 7:40am at Triple Play in West Lebanon. We have a few people willing to drive. Some plan on staying the whole day and into the evening and some just for part of the event. Please respond here if you are interested in joining us. Let us know your plans (staying until closing or want to head out early evening) and if you are interested in driving. The Game-n-Grill should be an excellent time, with some great gaming! Hope to see you all there. Thanks Rod

I am coming, I am trying to get my wife to come along and I might be taking some guys with me from my Claremont gaming group. Then again, it might be just me, in which case there's a lot of car pooling room. I am trying to find out if we need to sign up for anything, like the Dominion tourney, but for the life of me I can't seem to navigate that Green Mountain Gamers site and get to the info I need. P.S.: Rod, do not let it slip how my team is doing in the World Cup. I saw the first 20 minutes before I had to get to work, and plan to watch the remainder tonight!!!

You do not have to sign up for anything. There will be plenty of room for in the Dominion Tournament. (I know because I am facilitating it!) Most of the gaming will be open, like Unity....so you should be fine.
As for carpooling I think we will have a few drivers.... I hope your wife and the guys can make it. More gamers is good!
I set my DVR this morning...so I am also avoiding scores! How about the gift England gave us Yanks? Sweet!

That was unbelievable and not deserved. USA got away very, very clean there.
A good friend of mine is a Serb so we watched Germany-Serbia too yesterday. That was painful (but a heck of a lot more exciting than USA-Eng)! The first 20 minutes of our game were just fantastic. Opportunity after opportunity (I will not tell you the score after 20 minutes, lol) and back and forth. I can't wait to watch the rest. Of course I am taping Japan-Cameroon too!
I just hate the coverage we are getting, though. The commentary is terrible, and they miss essential moments because of stupid slo-mo replays of less interesting moments. And in those replays they don't rewind far enough so you can't see what is going on anyway (especially in the off-site situations) No wonder Americans don't get into it: I have a hard time myself.
