A Crisis suit taking his own head off with a plasma rifle is a very amusing image.

What about if a unit has no shooting ability ben? Do they do nothing, or do they default to a roll of 2? Also, do you choose what weapons to use? For example a unit of CSM rolls a 3 and has to shoot and assualt, can they declare they are useing there bolters so that they don't have to assalt? Also, if a model has a power fist does he have to use it, same if he has a plasma gun (and he also has something else, like a bolt pistol).
EDIT: Sorry re-read it and it allready answerd my first question (thats wat I get for thinking about it at work!)

Yes, I figure if nothing else this will make for some memorable games.
10 league pts to the first person to model a squad killing each other. ;D
To answer your other question Ethan. If a unit assaults another unitor itself they will fight at maximum effectiveness. So yes they get a bonus for charging. Also since you still control the unit you choose which weapo0ns you use. You control the unit, you just can control who theyre fighting that turn.

Despite all my bitchin' and crabbin' last night, I must say that this last scenario was a blast.
I just happened to fail six out of the ten modified leadership tests I had to take during the game, opening with a first turn where my Canoness turned into a Spawn and my only Sisters squad on the table wiped itself out in a hail of bolter fire! Still, it was a close game and could have been a draw if I could have made just one more 3+ save on the last turn.

This weeks scenario was fun, If I do say so myself.
I had a good time watching a Canoness turn into a spawn , and watching a space marine captain blow his own head off.
Good times.

My Brother Captain was depressed... he told me he didn't know what he was going to do with his life... it all makes sense now... but I didn't ever think he'd kill himself!
Why didn't I see the signs? Why God? Why?

I forgot, you only check for a unit if its been on the table since the start of the turn.

Okay.
Week 9
Rain of Blood
Pushing ahead quickly now as you are near the objective you run a forced march into the evening.
Due to the large amount of demonic forces attracted by the carnage the planet itself has begun to be affected. A large warpstorm comes in out of no where. The sky begins to darken and "rain" begins to fall.
Roll for mission, and deployment.
Nightfight rules are in effect at the start of each turn on a roll of 4 +. The reason it is rolled for is large flashes of lightning pound over and over again momentarily lighting up the darkness. You roll for both players at once at the start of the turn. Therefore one die is rolled at the start of turn 1, the result stays in play for both turns, then you roll at the start of turn 2, and so on...
Roll for each of your units at the start of the turn before you move. You only roll if they started the turn on the table. On a 5+ roll on the chart for the unit. Apply the results immediately, unless otherwise stated.
1. D6 S3 hits on the unit , saves allowed. Small chunks of blood soaked flesh fall from the sky striking the unit. Vehicles suffer a shaken result. (Bloody chunks of bodies impair vision while driving , DUH!)
2. Nightmarish visions (devins mom) appear in the blood soaked rain, and the unit flees in terror. In the movement phase roll a scatter die and move the unit 2d6 in the direction indicated. Not affected by terrain, if you strike an enemy unit you count as assaulting in the assault phase. If you strike a friendly unit simply move the friendly models you strike far enough out of the way to make room.
3. Acidic blood strikes the unit. D6 S2 hits, no armor saves allowed. Vehicles suffer a stunned result, as the rain run off sizzles vulnerable areas.
4.Green flaming skulls rocket thru the storm screaming at an ear shattering pitch. The unit falls to its knees in agony. The unit can do nothing this turn except writhe in pain. They become fearless until the end of the turn.
5. Flood of Filth. A demon of nurgle tears open reality in front of the unit, and spews foulness over the unit. (poop, puke, out of date milk, that sort of thing). Place a flame template over the unit obviously endeavouring to get the maximum amount of models. All models struck take a wound on a 4+ with no armor saves possible. Vehicles suffer a glancing.
6. Oh Crap! Exploding corpses materialize all around the unit splattering the unit with gore , bone fragments, and possibly the hammer of thor. The unit takes 2d6 S6 hits. D3 Penetrating hits on a vehicle.

What about units in a transport, are they immune to the effects of all of the rolls (as they affect the vehicle instead?)

You dont roll for units in transports. They are safe, the transport of course gets pooped on though.
heh..man i simply cant ever seem to write a mission without screw ups the first time.

Also #5, what does that do to tranports, or vehicles ingeneral?
And I wouldn't worry to much about not getting it right on the first time, its very hard to come up with all possoble senierios!
