Oh snap!  I will make sure the 40k campaign is wrapped up before July, because I have a feeling people are going to want some hot 8th ed WFB action. |

I'm a little concerned that the hammer appears to have gained rocket engines. Perhaps to continue their new sales method of making new editions trash in comparison to their predecessors by removing at least 50% of all rules that made the game require tactics, this one will be 40K 3rd edition with a new cover.

Hmm, perhaps we WILL see an O & G army book in may. It would be silly to wait until months after 8th ed is released seeing as 'ard boyz fantasy should be starting up in the fall. I would think with new models they might as well rework the book, seeing as they likely have 8th ed finalized as far as rules are concerned and it would probably just take a bit of rearranging of the units to make the army book 8th ed. ready.
But then again it is games workshop so making sense and planning ahead is not necessarily in their plans. They better not kill fantasy with jenky new rules right after I bought two fantasy armies... Most likely they will do something ridiculous like giving dwarves 5 inch base movement, or boosting elf strength and toughness to 4, or giving chariots front side and rear armor values with pintle mounted repeating crossbows and sponsoon mounted bolt throwers...

The core rules were never the problem with fantasy - it was the goofy army books. The way to fix it would be to do a complete reboot with the army books ala ravening hordes (if anyone gets what I mean).
Oh well, hopefully they'll clear up the whole sliding vs. not sliding thing for charges. if they don't at least do that, I will be a sad panda.

I for one think that some of the rules in WFB could use a little streamlining... If that's truly what will happen in 8th Ed I'm all for it.

In one of the emails I got from the GW rep he said there would be no new O&G codex coming out in May. Bubble has been burst...
