Greetings Generals and Sorcerer Lackies,
I had a blast playing week ones missions. Here is week two. I hope you enjoy! Remember your suggestions, positive feedback and fluff is always appreciated.
NOTE: I am away this week so please post your questions or call me at (802) 309 4244 and I will try to give you an answer. Otherwise just talks about it, dice off, and do what makes sense! I will post week three next Saturday night and be at TP on Sunday! (August 1)
WEEK 2:
Army Composition:
This week you start with 1250 Points (1350 if you took the upgrade). The same basic rules apply to last week unless you bought one last week that would change it (I.e another special slot). You can redo your list once you read the mission every week. Next week I will allow 3 core units of the same type. The idea is to force a little diversity.
Note: No duplication of special slots yet.
Campaign Notes and Clarifications
Please keep a note of all your “free” upgrades and how you are spending them. In order for this to work we have to keep accurate records. Figure out a system that works for you. I would make a little journal or log stating what ones you choose. You can’t go back and change them. I made all of the upgrades this week permanent to try and make all of them attractive.
Also keep track of character experience. These can be used however you want and DON’T count towards your character’s maximum for items. For simplicity sake you can change your characters stuff too based on what points you have. Just keep track of how many points you gave them from the character upgrade and how many you have from individual challenges or irresistibles. You can buy wizard levels up to 3rd level with a combination of army EXP points with character EXP points for a hero level character. Points spent in this way on leveling up cannot not be redeemed!!
You can start a new army in the campaign…. By all means PLAY! However when we go to calculate a winner only the army you began with will count.
Remember you get one free point IF you get nothing from battles. YOU MAY NOT SAVE YOUR POINTS!
Tomb kings can take chariots as core with a tomb prince AOR a Tomb king. Assassins are considered characters for upgrade purposes but do not count toward total heros taken.
[glow=red,2,300]MISSION: The Lost Nobles of Praag
You have recruited and bought reinforcements to help you in your rise to power. You hear from your spies there has been an Orc raid on a human caravan traveling to Kislev. While the orcs were repelled several of the female nobles fled into the forest. These nobles were all beautiful virgins that the fathers had hoped to marry off. They would make excellent slaves, sacrifices, hostages, or prizes to be won. You decide to head north and see what you can find!
What to do: place d3 +3 beautiful virgins in terrain features around the board. It is up to you and your opponent to make sure a board has enough pieces that are fairly done with a variety of terrain that a maiden may be placed in. (Try to make 50% trees). Place a maiden (a token or mini) in each terrain feature and not in deployment zones. The Maidens are skittish and move d6 inches in a random direction EVERY PLAYER TURN. If they wander off the board they are lost. In order to capture a maiden you must move onto the maiden’s location. ROLL a D6. On a 2-6 you capture the maiden. If not she runs 2d6 inches in a random direction. If she runs into an eligible unit that unit can attempt to capture her. If not she scatters off.
If a unit is rundown, flees, panics that contains a maiden the maiden breaks free in th confusion and goes 2d6 in a random direction. For game purposes a unit can only have one maiden and the unit must be US 5 or higher in order to keep her cornered. If a unit is dropped to under US 5 she breaks free and runs.
A unit that has a maiden can LEAVE THE BOARD (any edge). They are out of the game and do not count towards victory points. The maiden in this case is yours!!If the game ends and you hold a maiden she is yours!
If you control 2 maidens you get an army experience point. If you win you get an army experience point. You may get 3 points this week total in your two games. [/glow]
