Greetings,
The battles are over for day one of Germany besieged. I have to say Battlefront run tournaments are great. We played three rounds today and two rounds in the morning.
Jeff Mayo Germans are at 8 points for three rounds. My Americans are at 11 points. We have the raining 2013 Masters champion playing and his son. Lucky me, I have not played either. The Son is A Masters champ as well.
Jeff did encountered the Master Champ(dad)2013. It did not go well. To meet son or dad is a bad omen. Dad was a British list with Naval with Aop. The son German, reluctant trained panthers. A bunch of panthers.
@temis the son who played tank destroyers in Londonderry.
Day two and the best we can do: I have 12 points to grab if I do 6-1 for two rounds. That is best for me and Jeff. So we are still in the running to grab a respectable final ranking.
This is a Battle report from Templecon 2014.
This tournament has grown from last year. I played two guys from New York in my final two rounds. They were from the same club. I lost to the first with a train. 4-3 loss. I never fought a train. It was a crazy battle. I do not like German trains.
The second guy from New York running a Wilkes panzer company. I ran that company in my first year ln tournaments. So I knew how to defeat that company to get a 6-1 victory.
I love the Steampunk girls. Woot..... Dave at Battlefront admonished us when a hot steampunk chick called the second mission. Holy crap for not speaking loud. There was 24 guys mumbling. So Dave made us do our welcome greeting again.

Battlefront sets up and runs a great tournament. I loved the turn out of players, and I am looking forward to the next big tournament. 5 rounds over the course of two days was a lot of fun, but very taxing at the end and I was glad when we were finished. Will & I also got some great ideas on how to recruit new players and reinvigorate the Flames of War club at Triple Play. So, stay tuned and keep your trigger fingers ready for the future of FOW at the store.

is there any good list anywhere of the tournaments or cons? do you have dates and locations for other con events for this year? My advice in running a list for a Tournament. Pick a list and play it till you know the strengths and weakness of the list. Plenty of practice games will allow you to tweak it to your style of play. Keep in mind that Assaults are key to winning tournaments. If your list is weak in assaulting. Then you can settle in the lower rank tile of a tournament. Assaults is the key to win a game. Study, learn and incorporate assaults in your list. You will find enemy opponents that it is a must to assault to win the game. Will

Agreed, that has worked quite well. Picking a list, running it multiple games and tailoring it to suit your playstyle. I have found that to be the best course of action. Will & I have already started playtesting lists for the US Nationals at Historicon.

Thank you for the list. I appreciate the advice.
Unfortunately that wasnt what I was asking.
I was asking is there a list posted that lists the dates and locations of the tournaments or cons.

For the bigger tournaments, you can find a listing of events at Flames of War's website for North American tournaments; www.flamesofwar.com/Default.aspx?tabid=53&art_id=1984Other than that, you'll have to search around for smaller tournaments such as one's that have been hosted at Triple Play in the past, as they won't be included in the above.
