I probably will be delayed tomorrow. I have to pickup my wife from work at 6pm. The earliest I will probably be in is 6:45. I'm trying to work out alternate rides for her though. I'll post tomorrow if this changes.
Which mission are we playing? I'll bring a 1500pt Infantry list with one Armour platoon.

That sounds fine Jeff. I won't plan on being there until 6 myself, and that should still give us enough time to setup. Hopefully, we can be playing by 7, or just a bit thereafter.

I will play with my american airborne troops. Just tell me how many points and restrictions. I am a glider company. So I am thinking I could land 105's I think. Will my god it lives................... 1500 points, you can use use a glider company but most of your troops will be CT and not FV. You can pick any unit off the turning the tide list that is marked as a glider or Parachute unit, no corps artillery for example. Remember that your 105s will be light ones The Germans can have 1500 points must use an Grenadierkompanie or Fallschirmjägerkompanie from earth and Steel. May only use 1 support unit marked as Armor from the list of supporting units. I would like to try the Ponte de Hoc mission I will post the German list for that latter. today Will, all kidding aside you can use a parachute rifle company and take a Glider artillery option (with light 105s or I can lend you up to 6 pack 75s). Temis, I will be running a Fearless Vet Parachute Rifle Company (101st). I will need the 105s and a extra rifle platoon. I do not think I have the infantry to complete a third platoon. If you have 57mm antitank guns. I will use them as well. I was planning on proxy my antitank guns. So I will be there to squash the Jeff's. Will

I will bring you 11 stands of Russians

I thought we were playing tonight (due to the anniversary).
Also, I was able to get the van back early and don't need to drive my wife around. I'll try and be in around 5-5:30.
(Will... can you sneak some German reinforcements in... HMGs, Mortars, etc... lets pray the Allies never break this code....)

Well, Temis and I slugged it out on the cliffs of Point du Hoc and drew to a standstill. We each killed 7 stands, and the Army Rangers were starting to press in from the cliffs, after having taken out several MG nests. However, the German Festungkompanie reinforcements were entrenched around the two remaining objectives and were ready to bloody the noses of the Americans. All in all, a damned fine game and I'm glad that we got to play a scenario of historical significance.
I don't know the exact outcome of the battle at the other table, other than the American glider company received a severe thrashing by German Fallschirmjager forces defending a small village.
Thanks again for coming out to play some D-day action generals. See you all tonight.
-Oberst Jeffenspiel

German Intelligence reported some movement south of town, but nothing much otherwise.
