Hello all.... Wednesday is board game night at the store. We usually start around 6pm and play until whenever.... Some regulars have mentioned that the 6pm start time is tough for them to make. How would people feel about pushing the start time back to 6:30 or 7pm? This would not mean that others could not show up and play earlier, but that the main gaming would start a little later. This would give everyone a chance to get into a game. (For instance I would still most likely show up earlier, and maybe play a lighter game, quick game before the main event! ;D ) Also some players were asking about the possibilty of planning games ahead of time, with a set starting time. This already happens on a limited basis. (Again for instance this coming Wednesday I am planning on bringing Triassic Terror, and have 2-3 players already planning to play. It will start at 7pm) Any thoughts or comments are welcome....this game night is for everyone that attends and your opinions matter!! Thanks Rod

I'm good with starting a bit later. I sometimes have to work a bit late and can't get to the store until 6:30.

I'd favor a 7 p.m. start time, especially with the longer days upon us.

As an upcoming regular of wednesday night once finally settled on your side, starting late will be better for me as i'll have to drive down from Barre right after work each week
Good idea also for planning games in advance... we could always talk about it a week in advance or so like when we meet on a wednesday night for the following wednesday
My 2 cents...

Rod,
Great idea. I could "get back in the game" as I can arrive by 7, at least on 1st & 3rd Wednesdays. Haven't been doing this because so much begins earlier. I would have signed up for Triassic Terror if this were a "doable" Wednesday.
I like the idea of on-line sign ups. I'll bet I could gather a group for Terra Mystica, at least for a few weeks longer. Should have thought of soliciting players myself.
I will be in Fairlee from 9 to 5 this Saturday & will bring TM.

As a once every 3-weeks new-regular I'll show up whenever you guys set the time. As for pre-planning games, I've always been more of a play whatever people bring player.

I don't think we will go to a totally "planned" schedule. I too like the open options for gaming. But it is nice to have an idea what games will be available and some planning on occasion would be good. Especially if we have some games being played later. It does seem that the later start time might work well. We can discuss this a bit tonight. I know there are some regulars that do not necessarily check the forums. Thanks to everyone that has given their opinions so far...please continue to tell us what you think... even if you hate the ideas! Thanks Rod

Even though I work close I find getting down to the store, getting something to eat and being ready to play at 6:00 can still be a challenge. I'd be ok with a 6:30-7:00 start time.

Most Wednesday's I don't make I've been driving all day, 6:30-7:00 start time feels pretty reasonable.
Hope to be around tonight.

7 is bad for me but not necessarily disastrous.

not to worry last week two games(fast ones) were started about 6 and and others were started later. Plenty of people came well before 6. Temis
