Instead of going with a partner can I come alone with 2500 points worth of guardsmen? Or two different armies? They would be using the allied chart so no Space Wolf/Chaos Combo (Though there is the wolf of frenis fluff).

I'm not going to allow solos. This is a team tournament, and the principal challenge of this format is to be able to coordinate with your teammate effectively. That challenge is erased if one player is controlling both forces.
That said, you do have a week to find an opponent. Mark? Brad? Caleb? Any of you guys interested in teaming with Danno? He's got guard!
@all. Rules up on Monday or Tuesday.

Team Tournament 3/23 Army Creation:- Each player on a team should create a 1250 point list with NO allies.
- Make clear on your lists which player is the alliance master and which is the ally.
- You will use the allies rules in the rulebook to guide interactions between your forces during the tournament.
- Special dispensation will be made for Tyranids, as they will be classed as “desperate allies” with all other forces.
Registration:- ...will begin at 10:30.
- Entry fee is $20 per team with all money to prizes.
- Please bring two copies of your list
Scoring:- This will be a three round tournament with W/L/D being the primary scoring mechanism.
- There will be a point mechanism built in to each mission. In the event of a tie in record, these points will be used to break the tie. Otherwise, they will have no impact on the game (I.E a team with a loss and 19 points would rank behind someone with a win and one point).
- The top team and the second place team will receive store credit prizes
- Sportsmanship (NEW): At the end of each round the players of each team will decide what sportsmanship ranking they would give their opponents out of a possible three rankings. The rankings are as follows.
-Great game! (2) I would love to play against these opponents again and they are shining examples of what the game should be about. It may still have been tense, but that was only because the players were evenly matched and the game was in the balance. This game was in the top 10% of all games I've ever played! -Decent Game (1). This game was all right. There were some minor disputes or a few moments of grumpiness, but by and large it was an enjoyable game of 40k. This game falls somewhere in the middle 80% of all games I've ever played. -Unpleasant Game (0). This game was not fun at all. Either because of excessive rules disputes that were not solved in an amicable manner or because of the behavior of my opponents, I did not have a good game. I am comfortable in saying that I would NOT like to play one or both of these players ever again and that this game falls in the bottom 10% of all games I've ever played. - Sportsmanship scoring will be used to determine a “best sport” prize (also known as the Steve Hier award). The team with the most points will receive the prize. In the case of multiple teams tying on this score, they will split the prize (as that's the sporting thing to do!)
- Sportsmanship will NOT be added into your tiebreaker points, but may still have an impact on the your record. Any team scoring two or more 0 or “Unpleasant Game” results from their opponents will have a win deducted from their final record. So play nice.
Missions:Each player in a team will be able to select a warlord at the beginning of the tournament and roll for warlord traits at the beginning of each game. Except where indicated, the below missions are to be played just as they would from the book. Crusade(Special rule, 5 Objectives with fixed objective placement. Place one objective in the middle of the board and one in the center of each table quarter) Tiebreaker Points - Your victory point differential with your opponent (if positive)
- 3 points if your team held the central objective.
- 1 point if, at the end of the game, you and your teammate both hold objectives with scoring units.
The Relic (Special Rule: “Droofus Hates Draws” if when totaling up victory points you are tied with your opponents, give one additional victory point to the team who has destroyed the most enemy units) Tiebreaker Points - Your victory point differential with your opponent (if positive)
- 3 points if both you and your teammate have had a unit seize the relic.
- 1 points if both you and your teammate have scoring or denial units left on the board.
The Scouring (Special rule: Fixed objective placement: divide the board into six 24x24” sections. Place one objective in the center of each section) Tiebreaker Points - Your victory point differential with your opponent (if positive)
- 3 additional points if your team held the 4 point objective.
- 1 point if, at the end of the game, you and your teammate both hold objectives with scoring units.
Hope to see you all there!

I was looking through the rules and a thought occoured to me. For the purposes of the "kill the warlord" secondary objective points how will this be handled? Is it that the "Alliance Master" is the warlord, both warlords can be killed for +2 points potentially, select one warlord to be the warlord for the purpose of the scenario, or some other option I haven't even dreamed of?
Anyways really looking forward to coming up and playing with you guys again. I'll try to spend my time coming up with some witty smack-talk while I wait for an answer.

Good question! +2 points potentially as both warlords are warlords (though one is a dingus Khan to the other's Ghengis Khan).

I'll probably show up tomorrow with my nids on the off-chance that someone ends up needing a partner. If no one does, I'll just hang out.

What ended up being the final results?

Final Results ended up being:
More Models Than You! (Corey and Jess with a combined IG/Sisters horde) as the top winners, going 3-0 and defeating the field.
Bippy (Dan and Matt with their Tau/Necrons shooty fly-ey fest) took best sportmanship with a score of a five out of a possible six.
Thanks for showing up everyone! I'm thinking next month will be the kick-off for a round-robin league (in which I will most definitely be playing)! So be thinking about your 1500 point lists now!
