I'm starting out with FoW. I was thinking that I would start with a Brit or Canadian army but I'd like to see what others are running.
If everyone has Allied armies, it would be boring to have our troops spending scenarios standing around waiting for the Axis Powers to show up. Maybe I'd be Italian or Soviet...
By the way, like the new site!

Bill - There are three "diehards" who are at the store almost every Friday for FOW - one runs Germans (but is also building an american army), one runs Americans, and one (me) has way too much stuff already (Italians, Germans, Soviets, Finns). A fourth guy who is a bit more irregular runs Brits (not enough fiber apparently). There is another German player who rarely plays but is hopefully getting back into it. An Australian force being built in the Whitehall, NY area what will show up at times. A few other folks are in various early stages of thinking about building an army.
So there would definitely be enough axis armies to oppose your Commonwealth force.
Thinking about coming for the Demo Day?

Yes, I am planning on coming down for the demo. I may be down next Sunday. Assuming that I stock up at that time, I MIGHT have a small painted force to bring to the demo day. As long as the other powers are represented, I'll probably do the Brit thing.
I won't, most likely be able to do something weekly, but monthly could work. Are you diehards in the form of a club, or do you not get that organized? When you meet weekly, do you do tournament style scenarios or is there a campaign?

We are not organized as a club.
Our experience has been that we can just about get in a 1500 point game (and some supper) in a Friday evening. So we usually plan for 1500 points and randomly choose a scenario from the rule book. But, we are flexible based on who shows. Recently there often have been three of us we adjust to a 2000 point game with two of us sharing one side.
We have talked about a campaign but would need more than three to commit to one and would want it to be flexible enough so that folks like yourself who might not want an every week commitment could still be involved.
