It was great to see everyone who came to FlashCon on Sunday. Special thanks to Jared for bringing Small World, Bob and Thomas for teaching the Star Wars Minis game, and to the Howe Library staff for helping to set things up. All told, we had nearly twenty people over the four hours of games, including a family or two whom we hope to see again. As a reminder, the second iteration of FlashCon Family Game Day will be taking place two Sundays from now, the 17th from 1pm to 5pm. I hope many of you will be able to make it and feel free to contact me if you have games you would like to play, bring, or teach. You'll be hearing from us again soon...
Cheers..!

Hi Gordon,
What's the age of most of the children that come? I would like to come to the next event and bring my four-year old daughter. She plays simple kids games like Kids of Carcassone, but most games would be beyond her skills.
Thanks,
Andy

We've had kids as young as 5 at FlashCon in the past. My own kids are 8 and 10, but have been forced to play games for a while. I have plenty of games that would be appropriate for your daughter. Things that come to mind are Hullaballoo (a Cranium game), Gobblet, Qwirkle, Set, Enchanted Forest, and maybe a few others. I'll make sure to bring more younger games this Sunday...
