Hello Generals,
Well New Steve arrived late to Tripleplay and I think we had about Two hours play time.
The mission was a NO RETREAT (defensive Battle). Steve brought a American Tank company. I brought a German Security Infantry Company. We rolled off on six missions that where selected and Steve rolled the dice.
The battle out come after Jeremy came down stairs to close the shop. It was a 6 to 1 German victory.
The Germans fielded 11 Platoons and lost one platoon. Since the Germans fielded 11 platoons. The first one lost does not count against the Germans.
The Americans Lost a Tank Destroyer platoon and they fielded 4 platoons. This did count against them in Scoring.
The points level in the game was 1575. There was allot of referencing the rule book the whole game. This will only benefit the defender in Tournament play in a game that the Attacker has to take a Objective to win the game.
So if you are playing a list in game play. You need to study the rules for the company you will play. That includes myself. Steve and I played a new list. I will list our mistakes in this debriefing.
The new way of playing and the time frame of games to have a conclusion and a recorded outcome will be based on points.
If we play a 1500 point game, it will be a two hour limit for the game. If the points are above 1500. It will be a 2.5 hours play limit.
If it takes you one hour referencing the rule book during game play for the list you play and you are the attacker.
Then if the mission that has been rolled for game night is a mission the attacker has to take a objective to win the game. The defender will win the battle at the end of the time limit every time if the attacker can not take the objective.
So study the rules for all players including me before you show up to play. There are times when there is no player that clearly knows that exact rule and if it takes you 15 minutes to find the rule in the rule book. That will run down the clock for the attacker.
When you are the attacker with a heated time limit to take a objective in two hours to win the game and you take 4 times to research a rule at 15 minutes per rule search.
You being the attacker with a time limit to win the game and the defender waiting for your rule searches.
This will only benefit the defender because you are unprepared playing the company you played.
The defender will win every time. The defenders objective is to defend the Objectives till time is called to win the game.

The Issues with me and Steve:
1. Tank destroyers decloaking near Bocage and distance from enemy teams. That was a big topic.
2. Artery battery's deploying next to woods. Its a a 4 inch distance (Steve caught the mistake in the game with his own battery being deployed to close to woods.) I suffered Infantry kills from the same Battery before mistake was caught).
3. Sturmtigers. The first time I played them in my life. I brought them own as reserves and moved them. Then I fired there main gun. They are a template weapon in Grey wolf. They are a non-Template weapon in the new NUTS BOOK.
The shooting killed 2 of Steve's tanks in the last turn of the game. I latter researched them on Battlefront website after the game. I played them wrong. The only thing I could have fired at Steve was the MG on the hull. They are treated as a Arty unit in Grey wolf. I have to wait a turn after I bring them own to fire as a arty Battery.
They are more deadly in the Nuts book.
I think New Steve can add other issues if I left them out of our game if I missed a issue. We did have some Tank Assaults and Infantry counter assaults. They went well with out any rule challenges.
