I think they would have had a hard time either way. We fielded 14 panthers and 5 panzer fours on the middle table. Griff would of fared better on a flank then being on the middle table. Will

I'm not sure if this would have helped Griff or confused him more In the immortal words of Foghorn Leghorn" [ I think they would have had a hard time either way. Will IMO I suspect that Drew and Griff would have done better if they had hunkered down in the woods and let you come to them, rather than pushing their troops in the open where you could kill them easily. It also hurt them that only Jeremy, Steve and myself knew that you could spread out to muliplt tables.

My troops never made it on the battlefield the first turn. We just won the shooting match. Drew and I had tanks shooting at each other under 16 inches. I happen to score allot of hits with successful firepower rolls. I also rolled high for my saves in allot of hits on my Panthers. Mikes panzer fours where doing shoot scoot with Storm trooper to stay alive in the woods. I thought everybody new the tables where connected. I only fired on Waynes tanks on my left a few turns. I think our side had allot more vet players and that could have played a roll in the game. Will

Will, Your panthers had FA of 10 with AT of 14 Drew had tanks with a FA of 9 and AT of 12 it was hardly a surprize that you out shot him. As for you fighting in the open by the end of the game it looked, to me, like your tanks were cowering behind cover. Temis

That's being a good panzer leader. Make your opponent move to shoot you. Then come out and shoot him. Will

and that was why i didnt bother to show up. the German heavies need to be rare on the table top, not common. Its no fun to play games that really have little reflection of historical realities, i might as well play a fantasy game.

The way to take out German heavies is to rush them and get hits on the flanks. When you start hiding. You just play in the hands of the German player who is playing them. That is why allot of German list with king tigers or other heavies do not last long in a tourney. Their are players out there that know how to defeat them. Will

We had only four panthers on the line in turn one. I fought a plenty of battles this summer where my panthers was charged and we where trading flank shot for flank shot. Plus if Grif would have brought the tank destroyers out with his Shermans and used 9 tanks along with Drews Russian tanks to rush our panthers. It would have been flank on flank shots hoping the other player misses. They could have overwhelm the center of the board and it could have been a different outcome. Instead every thing was brought out piecemeal. We chewed them up little by little as they appeared on the battlefield. Will

That assumes that Griff could have held the TDs off table to wait for the Shermans, and since Griff had nothing on the table at the time I think it would have been difficult for him to just sit and watch(if I were in his postion I would have found it difficult) Remember Grass hopper hindsight is always 20/20. Will LOL they could have charged you on turn 1wow what a great Strategy that would have been on lets see Drew had 5 slow tanks 48 inches away, Griff had nothing till turn 2. It would have taken him at least 3 turns(assuming he double timed a couple of turns) to get to your flank . And of course Mike came on the second turn so that would have given you some extra shots. I think the net result would have been to end the battle on center table a lot faster. May you find opponents that foolish in all your future tournaments. Temis

Temis German High command sent "Gunther Burton" to hunt you down like the savage dog you are with his "Temis" Panther buster tanks. Then the Savage "Hans" with his Ferdinand made you go into chipmunk mode and sent you into hiding in the darkest holes on the battlefield. will
