Mike I would guess that the store can not order Blenneville or Bust! right now it is only available in a PDF format. If we want to order it we will need to set up an account and down load all 300 pages and then print it out. Temis

It looks like you can use FoW based figs. Firing is based on number of squad members and you do lose individual men as losses but thats what casualty markers/caps are for. Otherwise it's FoW base compatible. I'm going to get the Normandy supplement as well. M.

Does this lead to 12 die rolls(for an american squad) with saves for all their hits or does the entire squad together only get one roll? Temis

Effectiveness is based on number of men and troop quality. That gives you "actions." When you fire you roll 1 die per action and add up the total. Imagine your squad has three actions. So your squad could move, spot, and fire using 1 die for firing or just sit and blaze away with three dice for firing. For infantry, then, a squad has the most actions (and thus, firepower) with a full complement and elite status. Firing itself is a single roll per squad, with one, two, three or four dice added together based on the number of actions used. The higher your total the more damage you do. There is a set of saves based on hits suffered, but if you're pinned there's no save for that. So an attack could do nothing, could pin and kill some troops, or pin and have the troops save the damage and survive.

I will chime in on this topic. I will not be interested in playing any other rule set. I am planing on attending most of the flames of War tournaments around New England in 2013. So I will only be interested in playing Flames of War at the store. This will allow me to learn the rules and get better at Tournament play in the Flames of War New England tournament circuit. If we get away from playing flames of war and jump to other rule sets. This will just lead to what has happen to our group now. Will
