You’re no hero.
You’re an adventurer: a reaver, a cutpurse, a heathen-slayer, a tight-lipped warlock guarding long-dead secrets. You seek gold and glory, winning it with sword and spell, caked in the blood and filth of the weak, the dark, the demons, and the vanquished. There are treasures to be won deep underneath, and you shall have them.
Return to the glory days of fantasy with the Dungeon Crawl Classics Role Playing Game. Adventure as 1974 intended you to, with modern rules grounded in the origins of sword & sorcery. Fast play, cryptic secrets, and a mysterious past await you: turn the page…O n November 11 (the Sunday after Carnage), Albie and I will be hosting a Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG game. Unlike most RPGs that start at 1st level, DCC starts at level 0 with what they call the "Character Creation Funnel". Each player will play four randomly generated characters. Don't get too attached though, many of these peasants won't make it. This is a game of "highly random character results, high mortality rates". But as they say in the book... "Give it a chance; you may find you like it." Interested? Come join us! What do you need? Nothing except a love of old school RPGs. Albie will be the Judge/GM. We will have the rules, pre-gen characters (from purplesorcerer.com/create.htm ), dice, etc on hand. Learn more about DCC at www.goodman-games.com/5070preview.htmlThe time has yet to be determined... we'll update this thread in the near future with further details.Jeff

Hey, this is Jeff, and I will definitely be there. I'll also pass the word to a couple of friends. However, I just want to confirm that we'll be playing at Triple Play?
Thanks and I'm looking forward to gaming the DCC way.

My husband and I are planning to come, but we can't make it by 11 a.m. Can we come late - around noon to 12:30?

I don't think that will be an problem. It will probably take a bit to get organized anyway. We may even have a few "vacancies" in the line up by then anyway.

"The main thing is that the village is safe from the Beastmen. Sadly, 21 of our fellow villages didn't make it. The Dyer and Sages guild were especially hit hard Both guilds will be working on a well thought-out colorful banner to commemorate our victory over evil.
In the next few weeks, we will be breaking ground on the new Temple of Chaos with several new converts."
******************************************* I think I can speak for everyone who played today and say that our first DCC RPG day was a hit. We had six players including myself. 23 characters in all. Albie was a little nervous about that many characters, but he did his best to cull the stampeding hoard. I'd say he was pretty successful.
I think we will be trying to run a monthly DCC RPG game in the future. Next month (date to be determined) will be for 1st level characters. You may want to bring spares.

My Alchemist was one of the two characters who survived, and I fully intend to level him up as a Chaotic Cleric, if Albie lets me switch alignments. I feel like the little peasant dude developed over the course of the adventure, and felt the power of chaos.
What classes were other people thinking?

I'll level my Elf who was dragged overboard. He wasn't killed after all!!! Apparently he's a good swimmer (I should add that as a note on his character sheet).
BTW Tony, the recent convert building the Temple of Chaos is a nod to your character. You said you were going to make him a Cleric. :-)

I'm going to go with a warrior build at this point. Even though Albie said I could bring back a character from the pure carnage that was our adventure, it just doesn't feel right. I'm going to roll up another set of PC's and pick the best one of the lot. Who knows, maybe a thief build is in order.
