So I don't plan on starting CSM but I do have some models that I could use as allies. Is it ok to use plague marine models as just regular CSM with the mark of nurgle?

All you really need is body shape and weapon configuration for me, if you have some extra guts hanging out of the stomach and cronic sad face it shouldn't really matter.

Totally fine, so long as you don't use other models as actual plague marines in the same allied detachment. That would be far too confusing.
