OK, so this thread serves a single purpose - to make me better at warmachine/hordes. I am publicly declaring a commitment to a Faction, Warlock and List. Here's how this is going to work. There will be three parts - My Faction and Warlock/Caster, my list, and my game reports/thoughts. The reason I am doing this is to force myself to actually stick to something, as well as a place for my musings about what I can improve upon in specific gameplay scenarios.
That being said, I will begin.

SKORNE WARLOCK 9/30 - Lord Assassin Morghoul - 1 MONTH
I picked this warlock for a very simple reason - it is the caster that stands out most to me, from a model perspective, a lore perspective and a rules perspective. I love the model, the lore, and the narrow, high-powered focus of his abilities. He's devoted to one thing - warlock assassination run.
List #1 - 35 points, 0/5 Games
Lord Assassin Morghoul - +6 Aptimus Marketh - 3 Cyclops Savage - 5 Cyclops Savage - 5 Cyclops Brute - 5 Titan Gladiator - 8 Hakaar the Destroyer Nihilators (max) - 8 Paingiver Beast Handlers (min) - 2

I don't at the moment. Although I don't know what I'd take out for it, as the only major drop (one of the savages) will hopefully be replaced by a Krea in version 2.0 of this list.

Here's an interesting question that may shed some light on how I designed this list - for the purposes of assassinating the enemy lock/caster, which animus is superior on morghoul, the Krea's (for this purpose, -2 def to the enemy) or the Savage's (boost after rolling)? Because I was basically intending this list to deliver Morghoul to the enemy caster so he can slit their throat.
On another note, this is the version of the list I will likely run next, depending on how these first 5 games go. I would like to run it now, but I'm missing some models. (Bronzeback, Krea, 2 Beast Handlers)
Lord Assassin Morghoul - +6 Aptimus Marketh - 3 Basilisk Krea - 4 Bronzeback Titan - 10 Cyclops Brute - 5 Titan Gladiator - 8 Nihilators (Max) - 8 Paingiver Beast Handlers (Max) -3

Which animus is better is tough because they are both useful. In my opinion the krea's is better because lowering defense is awesome. Boosting after rolling is nice but usually you know before rolling that you need to boost, for instince if you need a 9 or 10 to hit your chances are low and you didn't need future sight to know you needed to boost.

The krea's is better because it is useful even when not going for the assassination. With her animus your caster is def19 arm15 against shooting. Not to mention that with it he increases the def and arm of all your stuff.
