Greetings! My names Justin, I just moved here (Keene/Westmoreland) from Seattle, wa. And am learning that this is the wrong place to be in my shoes. I have been pretty into the GW world for some years now. Unfortunately for me, I've been mostly into 40k for the hobby side of things, so while I've spent, and continue to spend unknown hours collecting and painting my force, I have limited experience fielding my hard work. I would embarrassingly have to rank myself as a noob. Back west there was a huge gaming community, and many GW shops, so there was never a lack of beginner games, or patient, experienced players willing to slow down and help a newcomer out. Regretfully, I took it for granted and didn't have enough time to take advantage. Now I'm here, 3000 miles from home, and was surprised to find not a single GW shop in the state. After a bit of web hunting I landed here, and while Lebanon is about an hour drive for me, it would certainly be worth it to me if I could find some willing gamers who have the patience to put up with my "still learning" pace of play. Anyone local, or closer to my area would be very awesome to find as well! Thanks for reading, hope to talk soon!

Welcome aboard, what armies do you collect? Also a fair warning, things get wacky for the games we play in the north.

Welcome to New England.
I moved to Keene last year because I found a awesome job in the middle of nowhere and than was depressed because in fact it was in the middle of nowhere. I'm now more north in Walpole but in the same general area. I like making conversions and playing the game, but I'm pretty lazy when it comes to painting. I spent a lot of time looking for places to play in Keene and there are really only like two options in Keene.
This store called Comic Boom has 40k people but they don't really play nor have terrain but you can ask around and get a game in sometimes. They will special order you models if you ask but not from any place you couldn't just order yourself.
There is also Toy City that actually carries some 40k stuff, but doesn't have anyone who really plays other than high school kids (I'm not so it was awkward for me). There was this one guy mid twenties there but I got scared away when he insisted that rules wise Creed let you replace your lemon Russes with bushes and not tell your opponent until after first turn.
Triple play isn't that bad of place to go to as long as you check their calender for event days. They run out of gaming space for 40k if warmachine or magic are in force. They have a great selection of models, hobby tools, paints, and have monthly 40k tournaments. Its just ends up being 40 min drive to get there from where I live. But its about the only other closest place to find that has a good crowd.
There are some places in the middle near Manchester but the drive is to long for my tastes. Also there are some places in MA and VT the same distance away as triple play, but I've never been.

I'd like to welcome you, too. I live in West Lebanon, not 10 min from Triple Play and it has been a great place for me to meet other gamers and get 40k games. I started the game about 2 years ago, and have learned most of what I know of the game playing at Triple Play. I it a good community of 40k players that is welcoming of new folks.
