At this point I am not sure about family plans for this Friday so I am "iffy".
Will be at Antietam next Friday so I will not be here to game 5/11.

It appears I will be playing in Adlers tournament. I have one of his gamers that will loan me what I need for a early war army. I will also be staying over night. I have a offer to run a Italian unit on Sunday for a raid game by Jerry Lane.

No doubt that Shawn is a good player his victory was so overwhelming that the 4th round of play (between the top two players) was not needed ) Shawn played the other top player in the 3rd round and crushed him like an ant. I was also probably a little bit luckier than will and thus did a little better(actually in three rounds l lost no platoons although in the final game I ended the game with 1 platoon with 1 dead vehicle and the rest bailed(made the check). But I played two players whose defense against me depened on 88's and the first unit both lost were 88's. |

But I played two players whose defense against me depened on 88's and the first unit both lost were 88's. I fought two British guys to a draw and lost my butt to a french player. The first game I had a chance to win after my motorcycle recon guys was assaulted and I broke off. I was able to get to the objective with no body around and could have won the game. I ended up taking so many casualties during the assault. I had to roll a motivation test to stick around the objective. I rolled a 3 and all hopes winning the game evaporated in the blink of a dice roll. The second game saw me playing a 8 platoon french company on a table divided by a high railroad embankment. I did allot of gambling trying to rush to a objective before all the Frenches came on the board. The Frenches rolled all there reserves on in quick fashion. I was crushed. The third game was a nail biter. I played against a British infantry company. I moved up the left flank and right away assaulted a MG platoon. The guy was able to break off with one stand left and quickly retreated to the rear after passing a motivation test. Then I moved forward and he rolled in reserves and brought in a anti tank gun platoon mounted on trucks. They stopped my panzer threes and we ended up in a shooting match most of the game. I would hit him and he would save. I was able to roll in reserves. I brought in a platoon of 3 panzer twos and 2 panzer ones close to the objective. I assaulted one infantry platoon next to the objective two times and ended up losing only one panzer 1. The second Assault destroyed his infantry platoon. Then he brought up a second Infantry platoon and had one stand in range to contest the objective. I double timed my recon to the objective to support the tank platoon and to take off some counter attack heat on my tanks. I was hoping they would survive to help the tanks. They ended up failing a motivation roll after falling below half strength. The game ended on turn 6 with the objective contested. I had a blast playing early war. I have already picked out my early war list. I will build a Czech panzer company with 38 t's and bring along Priority air. |

Does this mean we are going to start playing some early war now? I can field an Italian tank force and I think I can also field a German 38t armored company.

I thought it was allot of fun. It seemed all tanks can go boom real quick. I will have to shell out about 220 bucks to field my late war tank list. I need to buy 10 panzer 38 ts, 3 panzer 2's, Leichte pioneer company with six KFZ 70 trucks.. Then paint every thing. I have the stuka dive bomber and the 8-rads. I also forgot that in my first game I rolled three ones and bog my entire tank platoon in the woods. Lucky for me he did not come in to get me. Will |

Will, you must have learned that trick from me!! I have at least 10 Pz38s and 3 Pz IIs if you want to use those for a while. I can use my Italians. We just need someone to build an allied list. Who could that be.......Temis?  ? |
