Hi folks, I've been going to the store for a long time now and this is my first time posting here. If I'm breaking any rules by posting this thread feel free to delete it.
Anyway I'm here to ask a few questions.
Number 1: Does the shop or anyone have old Dogs of War minitures they are willing to sell? I'm looking for pikemen and crossbowmen in particular. I'm willing to pay a resonble rate for them but not GW current standard for them now.
On a related note I'm also looking for either a 6th edition starter set (Empire Vs. Orcs) and Empire State Troops from 6th ed to inbetween 7th.
Number 2: Is there any intrest in smaller 500-1000 point battles (Warbands or new players?), or fan made scenarios, rules, armys ect.

I guess the lack of a response to your post after a week has passed represents the current sorry state of Fantasy at the store. We had a thriving group until 8th edition put an end to it.
I do have some Empire stuff (a lot of mounted knights, some handgunners, some spearmen, etc) but not specifically the items you mention.

Thanks for replying. I am indeed intrested in those models, though I would like to know how much your willing to part with them for and what their color scemes are as well.
Also how did 8th edition kill it? Rule book come out to soon after the last one or was it because it got expensive?

Because most the older players didn't like the new rules. Warhammer fantasy hasnt had a Strong showing in a long while. Even before 8th Ed.

Thanks for the clarifcation Poofy. The combat of it seems soild but from I've been hearing on the internet the magic system in-game is what turned alot of players away from the game.

That and the fact that alot of people don't like the new focus on big monsters.

Can't argue with that,' lets see should focuse more on the ranks upon ranks of soldeirs that we know the players will buy, or new big center piece monsters that will be the target of every single artiliry piece and magic user in game'. Though I'm still looking forward to the day when forge world makes a dwarven zepplin (to heck with the cost!).

For me it was both the focus on magic and big monsters as well as the realization that I had to double the infantry for most of my armies.
I have an assortment of Empire figures. 44+ mounted knights in various color schemes and some just primed. 11 Wolf Knights. 5 Pistolers. 20 or spearmen in white and blue, 20 handgunners (10 in white and blue and 10 unpainted, plus an assortment of other stuff. I would be happy to bring it to the store sometime so you can look it over.
