EE Sealed ONE MORE TRY! THURSDAY MARCH 8th

Triple Play will be hosting a Legend of the Five Rings CCG Emperor Edition pre-release event on Sunday, February 19th. This is a sealed deck tournament, and the entry fee of $25 covers an EE premium starter deck, which also contains three EE-legal boosters. All nine clans are represented, and ee will allow players to choose their starter deck while stocks permit. We will also allow players to swap decks BEFORE any product is open.

Everybody that takes part will receive a special participation promo card (while stocks last): this card, Peace, has already been trading on eBay for $40+, and looks like a mainstay in EE decks! Extra promo cards will also be given out to all participants, and there will be an extra prize for the highest finishing player taking part in their first tournament. There will also be store credit awarded based upon attendance.

Emperor Edition is the new base set for Legend of the Five Rings, meaning the cards from this set will be tournament legal for two or more years!

I wish I could make it. My vacation plans have been changed because of work. I am leaving for Boston today instead of next Saturday. Have fun. I hope I will be around later this week.

So, no delivery, despite it showing as on it's way all day with the courier firm. Right now, we cannot guarantee the product will be there tomorrow.

My plan is to turn up anyway, and if we can't play sealed, we can draft or get some friendly games in. We'll still give away the copies of Peace while stocks last, and I'll be generous with other promos and rares by way of apology too.

On that subject, I really can't apologise enough for this snafu. I had really hoped we'd managed to avoid this situation, and I'm sorry we've let people down.

Heya folks!

So we're going to try this again on Thursday evening. Looking to start at around 6.30pm. Players can select any Emperor Edition starter from Triple Play's selection and use that. We still have a small number of the participation card 'Peace' to give away, and hopefully we can persuade Sean to pony up some prize support too At the very least, there will be more promos to give away!

The Emperor Edition starters really are amazing (check out the review here on Boardgaming.com: boardgaming.com/games/expansions/legend-of-the-five-rings-emperor-edition) and come fully constructed ready to play. Shelby, Randall and myself will all be there, and it would fantastic if other people wanted to join us.

Any interest at all from anyone else? As it stands, three people isn't enough to run an event with, so if nobody else wants to turn up, there's not a lot of point wasting the gas coming across.
