Been away for a while, but will throw my hat in for another go 'round with my (still) half-painted rats... Same rules/point allocations as the "fall" league?
And same provisos for me... Weekends only, I work nights during the week.

skavenguy74 - This "league" will be much more "relaxed". We will use 2000 points as a default value for games but play any point total that you and your opponent wants to. Each game you play entitles you to bring 500 points to the grand finale megabattle on March 28th. There will be a random drawing for a donated battalion box for those who participate in the megabattle.

The races of the "civilized" world have called a Council of Nations for Jan 28th. The rumors of an alliance of evil races must be discussed and debated and a course of action must be decided upon. Each race is sending an emissary with a 500 point escorting force. They are meeting deep in the Hessenburg forest at the Watchtower - the headquarters of the Order of St. Hessen. The Order is known throughout the world as a friend and good samaritan. The military might of the order (the Hessenburg Mounted Rangers) have kept the forest of Hessenburg free of evil taint for centuries. This is perhaps the safest place for such a meeting.
Meanwhile, the forces of evil consipire in the shadows and darkness. Their alliance is in place and now they only seek the right opportunity to announce it to the world. An attack on the council meeting in the "safest place" would be just such an opportunity...

It is deep winter and the forests of Hessenburg (aka Triple Play) are already filled with snow. Traveling is difficult for just a small party and even more so for military units. Predictions are for an additional storm of 4-8 inches to fall on the 28th.
So, it may be that the Council of Nations will not meet until Feb 4th. However, if so, anyone who arrives at the destination as scheduled on the 28th should open the campaigning season if they happen to encounter the foe.

I'm planning on coming still - if anyone else is. Let me know though, because if I don't hear otherwise, I'll stay at "home" and paint.

I'd be interested in joining the league... But I don't have a fantasy army.
Would Triple Play be willing to offer me an introductory rate on an Ogre Kingdoms box or what?

Come in and talk to me either Tuesday, Thursday or Friday nights. I think we can help you out with the Ogre Kingdoms Army box as long as we have one.

Winter is a wonderful time to wage war. The Council of Nations and the resulting mini-megabattle is officially rescheduled for Feb 4th.
The wood elves of Wayneswood claim to be delayed by forest fires. The daemonic Dark Elf Tomb Kings of Slaneesh are mired in the land of Rut. The Dwarfs of Mount Ascutney are still digging out their cavern exits and find it hard to travel when in snow over their heads. The Vampiric Empire army of Lustria is "tending" its horses. We have yet to hear from the northern High Elves of Droo-Fess and they may have been waylaid by the nefarious scheming of Necronian Tom (He is the juggernaut, bee-itch!)
So, if some of the more local forces make it to the store, then by all means begin the fighting. The rest of us will hopefully be there next week.
